Amazing customer service! When reservation got cancelled thru expedia and rooms were booked, we were offered a nearby apartment owned by the family. Transport to/from the airport was arranged and was stress free. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip to Budapest!

This lovely place is somewhere between a B&B and hotel...great staff to make sure you are comfortable and provide tips about local restaurants and must-do activities with the feel of a cozy traditional B&B, complete with great breakfasts and an adorable lobby dog. The location is ideal for exploring Pest and Buda and is a short walk from the Jewish...

Everything positive that has been said about this B&B with great hotel features, is just true, true and true. Yes, it is set within a traditional style Hungarian house in Pest....yes, there is no lift......yes, you go next door for breakfast (which is extremely good and included in the price - the food & coffee is superb.......but so what? I spent two days and one night at Butterfly Home as my usual hotel nearby was full. Well, I have a new usual place. The room was huge, the breakfast spread was delicious, but most of all I liked the owners: courteous, helpful. A true gem in Budapest that I wish I had found much earlier.

We stayed here for our first three nights in Budapest, and I would recommend it in a heartbeat!!!! We had the economy room, which was on the European 4th floor. The bathroom and bedroom were separated by stairs, but it was our private bathroom. We actually really liked the set up. The air conditioner worked great and was remote controlled....

The room was spacious and clean. The location is close to the metro and to the market hall. The staff were kind and helpful, they gave us very good tips where to go and explained how to move around the city. The breakfast was also good especially the coffee. I had a great time here with my friend so we...

We found Butterfly in Rick Steves's tour guide of Budapest. It was an excellent choice. The hosts, Andras and Timea and their 'right arm', Roland, could not do enough to help us maximize our visit from booking the river cruise and Parliament tours for us on-line, to their attention to our in-room needs. Budapest can be daunting, and we felt...

Before arriving I contacted the hotel about transport from the airport and Andras organised a taxi who was waiting for us in arrivals and added it to the bill so we didn’t have to worry about exchanging money once we arrived. Location is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk to Great Market Hall but in a quiet side street close...

We had a gread stay here. We loved every moment here. They did not treat us as guest, but they treated us as, if we where part of there family. Andras and Timea ( the owner couple) and Roland them right hand were extremely nice and helpful. It was nothing to much trouble for them. They absolutely went out them...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
