It seems that what used to be the Butterfly Home B&B has now moved from Kepiro utca 3 into Fővám tér 2-3 (you could see all the details on another famous hotel "booking" site). Nonetheless, this new Butterfly Home B&B is really gorgeous, fully renovated and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and big bathroom. Splendid views on the Danube and the...

large rooms, very good breakfasts, staff with excellent knowledge and recommendations (and great English) - what else could you want? It's not a luxury hotel but it's incredibly convenient (near the river and market), very clean, and felt like home.

Nice small hotel. We prefer the the small private hotels. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice hot and cold breakfast included. Rooms are comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite. Lots of stairs if you are on the upper floors. Located in the old town and near a metro stop. I would recommend the Butterfly Home if you are...

We spent a week in Budapest at the Butterfly Home hotel. It was marvelous. It is a small hotel, no restaurant, workout facility, etc. What it does have is a great location, wonderful, large, contemporary rooms, and a wonderful breakfast. The best part was the people. They took an active interest in our visit, helping make reservations, explaining how to...

I spent 4 days in this lovely, cozy hotel at the centre of Budapest. The staff was very helpful, friendly and well organized. They know nice places to visit, cheap restaurants, nice and hot thermal baths. They also can book taxi to drop us to the airport even early morning. I highly recommend Butterfly Home. I will definitely come back....

This B&B is customer service oriented. They can arrange a ride from/to the airport or train station. The staff is very knowledgeable about the city, the places to visit and the best way to travel to the sites. The breakfast is good and so is the menu. The facility itself is aging a bit, but well maintained. The curtains/blinds were...

We booked Butterfly Home based upon many positive reviews however we were notified shortly before our trip that the property we booked was sold to new owners and we'd be relocated to a new property "Butterfly Penthouse". I scrambled to research the new location which was right on a busy intersection; not loud during the winter when we were there...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
