We stayed at the Iberostar for 3 nights in May and loved it. Our room overlooked a beautifully treed square surrounded mostly by grand old buildings and we could see the US embassy from our view. The immediate area is quiet yet we were in close walking distance to everything. Highly recommend.

Very well located hotel. Impressive views from the room, whose size and decoration are outstanding. Very helpful staff; I had a minor couple of problems and they did their best to resolve them as soon as possible

This is a decent hotel and the location was hard to beat - only a few blocks to a lot of the tourist sites but in a business neighbourhood so there are lots of decent places to eat that aren't too pricey. Rooms are very large, comfortable and the place has a certain ambience. It may not be my taste... More

We stayed at this hotel on honeymoon, we were looking for a special hotel and were not disappointed. In the heart of Buda but not on a busy, noisy street, we were not far from transport links and could walk out to find places to eat and drink. The hotel staff were warm and friendly, made us very welcome. there... More

We wanted a hotel in the centre of Budapest that was relatively quiet. Despite being in the centre of Buda it's location is quiet and away from traffic noise. The Iberostar Grand is close to Metro, tram and other transport links, it was easy to get up and stroll to where we needed to be. The hotel was wonderful, it... More

The hotel is in a great location, away from the busy river bank traffic. There are also fantastic hotels and bars within a walking distance. Great interior design throughout the hotel and an opulent welcoming lounge. The best decision I made on hotel bookings so far. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Firstly I never write reviews but had such an amazing time I felt I should. From check in to check out the service from the hotel staff was amazing. The hotel itself is clean, modern and a little boutiquey. I took my wife way for a surprise 30th birthday present and knew little about budapest or this hotel and booked... More

Having never stayed with this chain or in the city - I was so impressed with it. Not sure what other reviewers say about expensive; but we paid 135 Euro a night and the room was very good sized on a top floor. Large bathroom and very clean. Everything is very walkable from the hotel, and while we didn't eat... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
