Value
With its forty-one rooms, the home of Alice Hotel is the villa dreamt up by Mór Kallina in the second half of the 1800s. With its elegance, the building perfectly fits into the charm of Andrássy út protected by UNESCO, and it also meets all the requirements of our age thanks to its modern equipment. Our guests can select from four types of rooms, which are all ready to satisfy every need of the city travellers: the hotel is perfectly suitable for friends, families and even those who are on business trips. The arrangement of beds can easily be changed, moreover, it is also possible to open rooms into each other. The romantic, exclusive suite is an ideal choice for couples. Our guests are offered delicious breakfast, and if weather permits, we serve it on the cosy terrace facing Andrássy út, one block away from Heroes’ Square (Hősök tere). Thanks to the sophisticated colours, the comfortable rooms as well as the direct and helpful staff of the villa, our guests can be sure that they will enjoy every moment of their stay in Budapest in the intimate and warm atmosphere of Alice Hotel.

A friend and I had a 3 night stay recently and it was the perfect base, location is great depending what you want to do, heroes square is very close where you can catch the hop on hop off bus ( tickets can be purchased at the hotel)
The walk down to the Danube is roughly 40 mins we used google maps a lot.
Beds were very comfortable we had a great nights sleep you can also connect your Netflix to the tv if you wanted to drift off to something.
One of the reasons we chose this hotel is because there is a lovely terrace out the front so you can eat breakfast Al fresco which was very nice, breakfast was good although could have done with being slightly warmer but not the end of the world.
All staff very polite and welcoming, were very helpful with anything we needed to know.
Taxi is 40 euros each way which apparently is the going rate in Budapest so I would suggest getting prices from Bolt which is equivalent to Uber or if you have time get the airport bus.
Very happy with our choice would definitely recommend

Spent 5 nights at Alice Hotel and couldn't find a fault with the place. The staff were friendly, the rooms comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. The location, on Andrássy Út, is perfect for both the park and for the centre of the city, with the 1 Metró about 5 minute walk with regular service. All in all, a gem.

This is a beautiful hotel. Recently renovated it is bright, quiet and really close to the metro and Heroes Square. We would highly recommend it. The breakfast was included and featured a large asst of protein, breads, fruit, Smoothies, coffees and meats and vegetables.

The difference between a hotel and a B and B is the housekeeping. We were there 4 nights and they changed the towels, made the beds and emptied the rubbish once. Also, we were attracted by the kettle and Nespresso machine - small details. You had to BUY more capsules and teabags if you wanted them. The breakfast is really good but again if you want REAL orange juice you have to pay for it.

Dear Freddyrabbit! Thank you for your opinion regarding your stay at our hotel. Allow us to express our remarks too to the problems which you mention in your review, The coffe capsules will refill every third day automatically for free, if you want a refill every day, there is a small fee. As for the orange juice in the morning, breakfast includes good quality orange juice in 100% Rauch cans, if you want fresh twisted orange juice you do have to pay, but this is indicated everywhere and is not promised as a free service. All my colleagues work every day to make our guests feel comfortable, so I would like to ask you to let us know if you have any questions or requests during your stay so that we can help you as soon as possible to make your stay a pleasant one. Best regards, Mr. István Kiss Operations Manager

Awesome accommodations and staff. Warmly greeted at check in and given a city map, directions and advise. Metro is a short walk from the hotel. (Suggest you purchase a 72 hour Metro Pass if you plan a 3 day stay). Breakfast included in a lovely courtyard. The staff went over the top our day of departure. We departed before breakfast would be served. Therefore the staff provided a terrific "take away" feast. Love this hotel.

Just loved this hotel. The service was excellent and the design was beautiful. The gardens and interior are also immaculate.

We enjoyed the food and champagne and would recommend a visit just for food if you are passing having spent the day at the local outdoor baths.

I would stay here if you are looking for something different to many of the larger hotels in Budapest.

Charming hotel, still very new and with an interesting history behind. We had deluxe rooms with balconies - beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, nice linen, great shower. The only thing - full view mirror missing and a bit dark in bathroom for a makeup. A bit further from the city centre but next to the park and Freedom square and Bolt worked well when we didnt feel like walking. Service was outstanding from all personnel and would special gratitudes to FO Manager Mr. Istvan.
Highly recommend

A superb Hotel in a beautiful location of Budapest. The hotel is perfect from A-Z. Very friendly and outstanding staff. The food in the restraunt and at breakfast were very tasty and good quality.
My room was beautiful and even had a little terrace.
Hotel a little outside the center but tube just infront of the hotel and you can even walk to the center. Sightseeing bus stops close by the hotel.
The beds are very comfortable and the room has a Nespresso machine. I highly recommend the hotel and would visit again.

Modern style in a beautiful 19th century mansion in the Unesco historic Andrassy Ut district. So close to the M1 metro for easy access to downtown Pest sites and up to Heroes Square and the Schzenazi (sp?) Baths.

Daily included breakfast was superb. The terrace restaurant was so delightful and delicious in the evening.

An elegant, comfortable and convenient local place to stay in Budapest.
