We were a bit unsure with this hostel when the owner left us waiting for an hour for him to turn up and let us in, but I really enjoyed my time here! I stayed here for 4 nights during a one month around Europe with this being the cheapest place I stayed. The hostel is really quaint and has...

Stayed for 3 nights in the height of summer, the hostel was clean and comfortable. WiFi signal was extremely strong in rooms, the kitchen was small but enough to get by. The owner is very friendly and gave a good introduction to the areas of Budapest on arrival, was very approachable throughout our stay. Washing machine use was also free....

Antique hostel is a really nice place - the location is perfect, the owners are lovely and the food in their restaurant is just amazing. The atmosphere of this place is just unforgettable. If I visit Budapest agian I will stay with them for sure.

Right next to Batthyany Ter, the hostel is admittedly, quite hard to find the entrance. We were received by the owner who was sat outside in the cafe, however we experienced drinking in the courtyard and the doorbell ringing for around 5-10 minutes before the owner answered. #Awkward. He was helpful - booking our return Limo Bus to the airport...

Stayed for 5 nights with baby and teenagers in the biggest apartment. One seperate bedroom. In the living room 2 good beds. This apartment has room to accommodiate 7 people so very spacy. Only small towels so if planning on going to spas/Palatinus bring your own. Kitchen equipment could use updating but well do. We bought food from the nrarby...

This lodging is located in Buda, directly opposite the beautiful Houses of Parliament and a 5 minute walk from the old town. The rooms are clean and spacious and the value for money is fantastic. The owner is very friendly and you can also rent bikes for free which really gives you a different perspective of the city. There is...

Just a few minutes away from the Danube river this lovely hostel offers cozy rooms with fine beds. Shower toilet and kitchenette shared with two other rooms, but hey, who needs those when in Budapest? Owner is very helpful and a big plus are the free bikes you can use anytime.

Although slightly inconvenient to get back to from a night out (either a half our walk, or a few stops on the metro), the hostel was directly opposite the stunning Parliament, a short walk from Margrit Island and near the Castle district. Bolasz is an incredible host - he is kind, helpful, flexible, welcoming and keen to give advice. Be...

... and attached to a vegan restaurant which is even better! The place in incredibly beautifully restored with lots of bright colours and even a grand piano at inner yard. The double room had a mezzanine bed and own shower/wc, shared kitchenette with another room. The inner yard is the best I've ever seen with old statues, plantations... toys, and...

We were four people sharing a room on the ground-floor and it was very pleasant. We had a hob to cook, a kettle, a fridge, two bathrooms and one toilette that we had to share with only one room. Our room was clean and well-decorated. There was a little inconvenient though; when the wind would blow, because the windows are...

“If you are travelling solo or with a bunch of friends, then come here. It's not luxury, but it's very, very nice for the price. Much better than some hostels. We even had a coach in our quadruple room. Besides, everyone is friendly. It feels like home.”
