District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.

It's OK, location is great. Breakfast is edible nothing special. Staff weren't particularly helpful but did their job well enough. Bathrooms were scuffed and rooms were a bit worse for wear, and had a dank smell. Beds are very hard. I feel you could get better in Budapest for

I could only find one small fault with this property. The luggage ramp at the front of the hotel which is about 12 steps high is a bit steep. That is being really picky. Good size rooms. Walm in winter. Very handy position in the old town. Great breakfast and helpful staff

I booked a taxi on line from the Airport before I left the U.k. Not cheap. Around £75:00 for the return trip for the two of us but makes things so much easier than the bus which may drop you a long way from the hotel. It's about an hours journey from the airport to the City. I was there for a week but would recommend one of the city tours which you can book from the hotel. Dalma in reception will help. Eating out is not as cheap as one may think but just around the corner from the hotel is a restaurant called Fatal which we found very good. Ten minutes walk from the hotel is the Central Market which is well worth a visit. Hope you have a nice break in this very interesting City. Alan Hunter-Craig

Hi, are there some parking spots close by? Thanks
Car parking in the city is extremely limited. A car is a liability given the extensive one way systems and is actually unnecessary. Public transport, taxis and foot is the best option.

I have no experience of the public transport system. On my recent visit I used taxis which are regulated, quick and cheap. That apart, walking is a good way of seeing the city.
