Look no further than Hotel Zara for a fantastic stay in Budapest. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional, and we had no issues with check in at all. It's located down a street off of Rákóczi út, so there is very little noise in the way of noise from traffic. You'll be spoilt for choice for food, and...

The room here was really nice. Hotel staff were very friendly. Great location close to plenty of restaurants/bars etc, and a nice walk through Budapest city. We used the pool/spa services on the top floor, but found it to be quite expensive for what there was and probably wouldn't use this if we stayed again. We ate breakfast in the...

I am a little bit late in reviewing this hotel, but it definitely deserves a glowing review! We booked this hotel at a reasonable rate so were very impressed when we arrived, the hotel building is beautiful and very impressive. It's located in the Jewish quarter so a bit of a walk from the city centre (River Danube) but we...

We were amazed by the standard of this hotel. After booking a fairly budget trip to Budapest we thought we had been taken to the wrong hotel. The lobby area is lovely with staff everywhere waiting to help at anyone's request. Our room was immaculate with a lovely clean bathroom. The hotel is in a great location, in the Jewish...

Great location near everything fun in Budapest. Party, restaurants, shopping and tourist tours are all located near this lovely hotel. The rooms were small, but clean and the breakfast area could have been bigger.

Excellent well-run four star hotel, which is very conveniently located. Really helpful staff, especially the lady (Eleonora?) on Concierge desk in evenings. Nothing too much trouble for them! Good pool to work off the sticky cakes you find difficult to resist in Budapest. Only niggle is some of the rooms are too hot in winter.Good value and would recommend to...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
