Came here with my husband for 3 nights for our anniversary. I can't find anything to fault about this hotel. The location is great for food and drinks and about a 20 min walk to the castle district. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was nice to look at, a renovated 19th century bath and spotless. The breakfast...

Excellent location, just a quick walk from downtown. Still a quiet hotel with swimmingpool on the roof, one outside and one inside. Clean and spacy rooms. Nice staff. Fantastic breakfast and OK dinner (noisy entertainment, local dance). Will recomend this hotel to my friends.

The welcome, jaw dropping entrance and room were all very good. The only drawback was breakfast time. Breakfast time was usually very crushed, busy and staff seemed to struggle to keep the food topped up and to clear tables. Sometimes your table was cleared while you went to refill a coffee cup. Moral of the story, always leave somebody at...

Budapest is a fantastic place for a family vacation. The area has a multitude of venues for music and the arts. Restaurants are also fantastic. I was surprised that all our restaurants visited were able to accomadate us at dinner times around 6:00 to 7:00 pm whereas most of the residents usually dine much later. Budapest will definitely be a...

The Hotel Continental Zara was a beautiful oasis in a nice part of the beautiful City of Budapest. The breakfast has to be applauded. Each morning we got off to a fabulous start with a beautiful breakfast. They have absolutely everything to meet everyone's needs. Also the spa on the rooftop was great.

We stayed 4 nights at Zara Continental Hotel in Budapest. The hotel is very well situated (not in the nicest area of Budapest though but close to the highlights of the city) 15 min walk to the Danube and 5 min to metro station. After dense days in the city we could relax at the wellness area on the roof...

This hotel has an awesome lobby and cafe housed in a beautiful Secessionist building that has been carefully restored; the detailing on the entry is stunning. I was upgraded to a corner suite that was wonderfully spacious, clean modern and quiet. The bathroom was impressive, separate bath, stand alone, walk in shower etc. Having its own spa and spring fed...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
