Honestly, I thought I had booked intercontinental, but I am happy I made this mistake because this way I learned to know the Continental. Rooms are great, staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was very extended with a large choice. I will return

Comfortable room though the view out the window was not great; friendly staff; excellent breakfast, very convenient (central) location, fairly good housekeeping; very good value for money; would recommend to my friends; would certainly like to stay there again.

Chose this hotel for a long weekend stay at the beginning of April. Although part of the area around the hotel is quite run down the location allows for easy acces to metro, buses and walking routes into all areas of the city. Particularly enjoyed the character of the hotel, breakfast arrangements, quality of food in the restaurant and choice...

Loved our time here. It's about a 10 min walk to the river and you're really close to all the cool bars. Never used public transport to get anywhere during our stay. We never got to use the spa but it looked amazing

First impressions of this hotel were fantastic. The staff were friendly and the lobby is stunning. We booked a standard double room which looks gorgeous on the website. When we got to the room I was very disappointed with it. The room was tiny, and there was no room to move in the bathroom, it looked nothing like the size...

Clean and recently refurbished. All furniture are in good shape and not cheap quality. Confortable bed, clean and functional bathroom. I was expecting something more from restaurant and breakfast, but still good and in accordance with high level hotel. The main entrance has a wonderful door made of bronze. Wellness area is good, but there is no steam room. Price-value...

Beautiful hotel, in a nice part of the city. A good 10 minute walk from the major metro links, a good 20 mins into the main square where St Stevens is. Great variety of pubs/bars and restaurants selected along the streets. Nice to be a little out of the main square. Lovely staff, friendly, attentive, very helpful on every request....

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
