It is very good choice for traveler. Free parking, near restaurant, near subtrain station. Very good position for festivals visitor. My room had every thing what I need. I can recommend the pension and I will choice it again.
As always, there are some pros and some cons. And Irisz is simply unlucky as I can compare with very similar and similarly priced hotel in Spain. Location is just perfect, if you're coming to Budapest to entertain yourself at Sziget. Even in the night you take a train for one-stop journey and then continue by a bus. In 19 minutes you're in Irisz. And the closest grocery is very close. Also going to the city-centre is very ease, the train will take you to Batthyany ter in 20 minutes. Rooms. Definitely the thing that can be far better. They're not enough clean, small and the walls are very thin so if you're neighbours are loud, you won't sleep at all. The towels are not changed during the stay, the bathroom is very basic. And the wi-fi is not good. The owners are doing maximum to satisfy you as a guest, they're charming. But unfotunately, this is not enough to persuade me to come back.…
It is fifteen years since I last stayed at this very likeable panzio and in June of this year my wife and I decided it was time to go again. We were delighted that the charm of the place remains the same - warm welcome - genial host - comfortable accommodation and a delightful sitting out area to enjoy a coffee (or something stronger) With the electric train 100 metres away, the journey to the centre of Budapest or the lovely Szentendre was a piece of cake. A pleasing breakfast was included in the very reasonable tariff and hearty good food is available from the local inn almost next door. Why anyone would want to stay in the centre of Budapest when such a nice panzio offers peace and calm is beyond me. Long may it prosper!!
This hotel is good value, well run and secure. Breakfast is enough, continental!!!!! You could go out all day and not worry one iota about your valuables, we left our room unlocked with money, passports and computer open and nothing was missing, how many hotels can give you that security! Want a good hotel in Budapest you won't find any better, close to transport, and quiet at night! And a wonderful Host!
The positive I think this hotel is a great value for money. It has good parking possibilities and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a family run business. The rooms are clean with a view into a nice garden. It has a good connection to public transport and there are some shops and restaurants nearby. The negative The location is quite remote it takes about 30 minutes by public transport to reach the city centre. It is quite difficult to buy tickets for public transport. The furniture in the rooms is quite old especialy in bathrooms but for the price is allright.
We spent one night at this bed and breakfast. It is located in the outskirts of Budapest, one minute walk from the Csillaghely suburban train station. Suburban train takes you to the city in 20-30 minutes, however it is often very crowded and not very comfortable. The area is a rather poor part of Budapest, not nice at all, but safe. We got a large room with balcony which had 2 windows, one facing the garden and another facing Szentendrei street. This is a main road and the suburban train also goes here, so it was so noisy we could hardly sleep. Most of the other rooms in the hotel are smaller and face only the garden, so be sure to pick one of those if you intend to sleep well at night. Our room was oke, it had an old worn-out carpet and a very simple bathroom with old white tiles, other furniture looked quite new, and all was clean. A small fridge and a very small TV was in our room. The bed mattress was quite hard and firm, which I liked, it is healthy, but if you prefer your bed soft than it might be a problem. Breakfast consisted of two frech rolls, surprisingly good freshly made coffee, some jam, cold cuts and some slices of cheese. No fruits or vegetables. Staff seemed friendly, however, we did not have a lot of interaction. I think for this price it was worth it. If we had stayed more than one night I would have tried to get another less noisy room.…
