Just back in Ireland after visiting Budapest at the weekend. The staff in the hostel were exceedingly helpful. The location here is fantastic right around the corner from Saint Stephen's basilica. Rates were very good. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Szilvia and co

I absolutely loved this place. Staff were so friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to help us with directions etc. It was a really nice hostel. Beds were comfy and rooms were cosy. Lovely heating on by night especially when it was cold in winter time. Nice shower and kitchen facilities. Very city central. We were near to...

the good points first: great location. At a very affordable price. Clean. Very friendly. The place consists of two identical apartments on top of each other. One one the first floor, one on the second, ground floor being zero. Reception is on the first floor and really nice and helpful. There is a computer, and you can even print a...

This hostel was an absolute pleasure to stay in. The staff were so helpful and friendly, always up for a chat and spot on recommendation. The location is great, nice atmosphere and good value for money. I would definitely recommend it. Good all rounder but particularly fantastic for the lovely staff!

The Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff (with one exception - see below) who are always at the desk if you have any questions/concerns. Excellent location. Elevator to the hostel on the first floor. Safe atmosphere. The Cons: We stayed in a private room which seemed to have frozen in time at some point during the 60s. The decor wouldn't...

I stayed 3 nights with my son. We were in a room with 7 beds. It was a good stay. The staff is there 24 hours and there are very friendly and helpful. When we first arrived there was a cute young lady that must have spent 25 minutes giving us the low-down on everything about the city. She was...

The place is always clean and neat. Feeling very safe with leaving stuff behind in the hostel when you are out. The place is very central and so its very easy to get to anywhere. What's more is that the staff is so chatty, helpful and nice, especially, Layla. I'm so glad that I've spent my time in this hostel.

This hostel was one of the best choice we made in Budapest. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The place is very clean and hygienic to stay. If you going to Budapest this place is the ideal place as everything is very close by and you save up on the transport money.

We had an apartment from Central Backpack King Hostel. The lady working at the hostel, Layla, is SO lovely & helpful. The apartment was fine & clean. We had some trouble getting in until we worked out the keypad, but it was very secure, on 5th floor with a lift & just off Vaci Utca. So not far to walk...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
