We had a group of six adults and three rooms booked in trip. We had a bit if a hard time finding our way in, but once settled in our delightful rooms, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend it for someone who doesn't want a big corporate hotel. The rooms were clean, and the food in the...

Our group of 7 decided to include 3 days in Budapest on the front end of our Danube River Cruise, and to make all of the arrangements on our own. As part of this, we wanted to stay in a smaller hotel with some local character rather than a big box hotel like the cruise lines use. I saw the...

One of the best butique hotels I've ever been to. The style and design of the hotel is impecable and although everything looks authentic turn of the 20th century It's also comfortable and modern. Location is very central, the Restaurant is not your typical hotel restaurant but a cool place locals hang out at.

The hotel is well located and the staff exceptionally polite and helpful. We loved our quirky room, the view from the room (though we were disappointed they had no availability for a room with a balcony), the beautiful spiral staircase and the red corridors on our floor. The only downside was that the bathroom was a little on the small...

When you enter the Gerloczy, you feel like you've traveled back to a romantic period in Hungarian history. The building, with it's spiral staircase and uniquely individual rooms makes you want to dress in pre WWII attire and order a hungarian cocktail. It's that special. The food is great and the location is not as congested as much of Pest...

Stayed at this hotel from the 23rd - 26th September and it was excellent. We stayed in the attic rooms which were really quirky. The rooms were clean and comfortable with the location perfect for visiting the Pest side and about 30 mins walk to Buda. What makes this hotel special is the staff, they can't do enough for you...

We enjoyed our stay. The room is beautiful, nicely decorated and roomy. The entrance isn't very impressive but once you get to your floor and room, you'll love it. They leave cookies after cleanings our room and they taste like Christmas. The owner/ manager is nice. They have restaurant on the ground level with good food and reasonable price. It...

The location is fantastic! I you Value uniqueness this is a great place to stay. Like anything else it had its quirks. I have to agree that the beds were very firm for my liking, but our traveling companions loved them - so it's a personal preference. Our door handle kept falling off - but once we figured out we...

The location of this B&B cannot be beat. However, the room itself was a major disappointment. The bed was horrible, leaving us with backaches daily; the air conditioner did not cool the room; the fridge did not cool its contents; and the small fruit flies were an irritant. The food in the restaurant was top notch and the staff was...

This B&B is well worth staying in. Perfectly situated in the middle of town, the food is great and the staff very helpful. I highly recommend trying to get a balcony room, as it allows you to sit and watch the world go by in a lovely relaxing setting. The breakfast is great and worth a visit for an evening...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
