Absolutely fantastic place to stay for the money we paid! The staff helped us find out about the attractions and local ruins pubs. As well as the nightclub Morrison 2! It is in a great location and Pizza King across the road is cheap and convenient for fast food or a cheap, but tasty, meal!

Taxi struggled to find this place so make sure you have the right address. We arrived late so had no idea how to get into the building. After eventually being let in by another guest and pointed in the right direction, we found our key but took 45 mins to found our room which was in a totally separate building!...

I stayed at Akacfa apartment twice, once in Jan 2012 and then in July 2012. It s 15 minutes walk from the Center (going straight to the Main Street, aka Rakotzi utca) when u can find also a mall (it was a Despar). It has really comfortable rooms, new, clean and large. I had the first time an apartment that looks to the inner...

This is an honest review based on our stay there last week. The apartments are spotlessly clean, modern and well equipped but are located in a rundown apartment block in what is referred to as the Jewish quarter. It would not be difficult to imagine the SS in the court yard below shouting Raus! Raus! as no doubt was the...

I've been staying there for 2 days (business and holidays). Location: The new apartment complex was built in 2006. Good location near Blaha Luiza tér. In the midst of an amusement centre. Next to the entrance is located the Mono Bar and opposite the Old Man's music bar. Within reach (1 - 7 min walking) : bus stop, Metro; various...

Myself and a friend (both 25 years old) booked to stay at the Akacfa Holiday Apartments for 3 nights in August 2015. When we arrived and checked in at reception, we were told that we were being instantly upgraded to an apartment on Kazinczy utca. The apartment we were upgraded to was surprisingly spacious and the décor was top class,...

We had originally booked the Opera Residence appartments, a few block away (just outside the main busy area) for which we had checked the reviews & were happy with; but upon arrival in our taxi, we told to take another taxi to the sister appartments. The receptionist, whilst polite advised it was nothing she had any control of and that...

Had booked a studio but we had a 2-floor 1-bedroom apartment - separate kitchen lounge, big bathroom plus extra separate toilet. All clean , and reception left us extra blankets after we were cold first night. Only negative was that curtains didn't cover windows and let light in early morning and draughty in windy weather. As we arrived in the...

This place does the job. It is nothing fancy and the apartment seems a little bit run down but for what we paid we really cannot complain. We did not think it was difficult to find. You step out of the metro station, go to the right and it is two minutes’ walk. Of course you have to choose the...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
