The hotel had a great location, wonderful reception, and the rooms were large as well as clean. It was located around many restaurants and shops. The reception desk was extremely professional and helped us with locations of different areas. The room came with a mini bar and was spacious. I do recommend this hotel!

Promenade hotel was a big disappointment. Everyone always say: what is it that we do in the hotel? we come back after a day of walking, taking a shower and going to sleep. But the thing is, I need to feel cosy. It isn't my bed and until i find the perfect position i lose my sleep to a place...

We stayed at the Promenade City Hotel for 4 nights and overall had a pleasant stay. The location is superb for sightseeing tourists. All the main attractions are within walking distance and there are variety of nice restaurants close by. The breakfast is very basic but there is a decent selection of foods so there should be something for most...

Dear „Joseph W”, We are more than happy to read your lovely words about your stay at our hotel and your holiday in the Hungarian capital. It is wonderful to hear that you were contented with the „superb” central location of our hotel as it is a great starting point to explore the most famous sights of our amazing city....

Ideally situated for exploring the sights. Hotel very clean, room had everything you would want. Only criticism is that there was no shower curtain which made showering without soaking the entire bathroom rather difficult. Complimentary toiletries could be better, limited to say the least. Breakfast was varied, plenty to choose from to suit all tastes. A very pleasant stay.

The Promenade has a terrific city centre location, and the rooms are pleasant. That's the upside. The challenge it has is delivering consistent service in line with its location. One receptionist was super helpful whereas another was indifferent. The lifts are audible throughout the night, which isn't conducive to a restful sleep! Breakfast was poor - cold, soft boiled eggs...

The Hotel is located in the shopping street next to the Hotel Mercure, surrounded by shops and restaurants with terraces on the street. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
