Initially we weren't quite sure what we had let ourselves in for with this hotel (kind of a hostel!) when the taxi driver directed us down an alley way! It was rather confusing to get to our room as reception was on the opposite side of the street. There was gates I front of the door which needed a fob...

When booking this we thought we were getting a 3* hotel. It wasn't until the taxi driver taking us from the airport kept saying hostel that we realised what we had booked. We were sent a helpful email before we arrived giving directions of where to book in and then given instructions from the helpful reception staff in the Panorama...

Good location at the heart of the city. Lovely clean and warm hotel, however the hotel rooms appear to all be on one level of this very large building. Unfortunately building work was happening on the level below and drilling and banging at 8:30 in the morning was not music to my ears! Very nice and helpful receptionist. Tea and...

This hotel is really well located - in between two tube stops. I stayed here solo and got a room facing the main road. It wasn't really noisy but if you want somewhere really quiet this is something to keep in mind. The room was clean, especially the bathroom. The hotel water was endless and it was really comfortable to...

The hotel location is in city center and is close to every thing, the hotel is clean, staff friendly, can help with travel within the city, the air works very well, two sides to the down stairs courtyard and the back is the sidewalk cafes and pubs and across from the Jewish center, the front is all the bus services...

It was easy to miss the entry way as a small brass sign only seen from one direction on a passage wall indicated that the hotel was located on the other side of a large metal gate. We had walked by it earlier from the other direction and missed it. Then one needs to walk up entryway stairs in the...

We were fooled into believing the pictures of this so called "hotel". The picture of the building is NOT the hotel and it is not a hotel but a shoddy, shady hostel. We could not find the entrance to the hotel, the receptionist kept telling us the entrance is just beside Telenor. We pleaded for help, that if the entrance...

While staying on the Buda side of the city, the night time view across the river of the Parliament house is spectacular. The city had been beautifully planned to get around in. Castles, churches, markets, cafes, we could have spent 2 weeks here. Also a great place to walk straight onto a river cruise boat and save thousands on brochure...

Close to everything! There are two entrances to this hotel. The "back" entrance is across the street from the Synagogue. More restaurants and shops. Excellent air conditioning. Pleasant staff. Clean room. Wasn't impressed with the breakfast cafe, staff gave the impression that we were imposing on them.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
