Great location right in the centre of town. The bathrooms were nice and clean and there were laundry and basic kitchen facilities. No free breakfast as advertised on this site. Be warned that there is no reception desk at the hostel so check in time needs to be pre-arranged. Security at this hostel was not good at all - anyone could just walk in off the street into the dorm room. Guests aren't even given a key upon check in and there is a sign saying to just take your luggage into the room if there is no staff member around. This made me feel uncomfortable about leaving my valuables there. There are lockers in the room but they either had no keys or the keys that were there didn't work. One morning I went to leave the hostel and was locked in! I had to call a staff member who informed me that the keys were on a key ring with one of the locker keys hanging from a keyhole in the room. This is not only an inconvenience but could also be dangerous in an emergency.…
A small and clean hostel located right in the centre of town and within walking distance from the train station. Very friendly staff who makes you feel very welcome and shares valuable tips on where to go and what to do. The hostel is a great base to explore Maribor and the nearby vinyards. The dorm has a mix of bunk beds and single beds. The room rate includes a basic breakfast in the nearby tapas bar.
Best hostel ive ever been not the most luxuerous Or what ever but anything you need to enjoy your stay. Friendly staff warm welcom feels like coming home. Breakfeast included is coffee/tea and orange/apple juice two slices of really nice slovenien bread. Just what you need to start your day. Laundry they do it for a ya Super clean place. Cool people from all over the world
Everything was clean. Free breakfast cooked with love. Really personnal service ! The kitchen is really small but friendly. The hostel was really clean. The beds were confortable. Easy to reach because it is in the center, cose to the train and bus station.
It's located in a great part of the city, close to everything you must see in Maribor. It's clean, includes breakfast, it's not expensive and the staff is very friendly and is always helping. Definitively the best option in the city.
Could not believe that this is a Hostel and not a Motel. I got there accidentally because I didn't booked my hotel on time so I was stucked in Maribor wothout a place to stay. Yes of course it has a 10 beds room,3 beds room which is common for hostels but... It was so unbelievable clean, the owner was so nice and with warm hospitality. The toilets and the bathrooms(yes, male and female separated) were really clean and descent. In the morning you can eat your breakfast which is included in the price and the owner himself is making you the breakfast. Eggs,sausages,butter,jam,muesli,tea,milk,coffee.....beautiful. I reccommend this place for every single young person who travels across Maribor to anywhere else. Specially to the students. The wi-fi was working excellent. btw,as I said,I got there accidentally and I am 40 years old.…
i stayed in tapas 4 nights. the host edwin is awesome and cares about his guests. it is right in the city center with a nice terrace and backyard. you can have coffee and tea the whole day, here i recommend the coffee... i never drank such a good coffee in a hostel ;)
We spent a couple of days in Maribor and needed a place to sleep only. With a dense program during the day there was definitely no need for luxury. All we were looking for was a shower and a bed, but we received way more than we expected! The landlord was very kind and caring and we really enjoyed our stay. The hostel provides a triple and a dormitory. We booked the triple which guarantees a bit of privacy and liked the fact, that it is equipped with a microwave and a fridge. The premises is clean, provides free WIFI and includes breakfast. Unbelievable at this price! An additional benefit: Right next door is a restaurant with gorgeous burgers and delicious Czech beer (Staropramen).
Cycling to Maribor, I got ended up knocking at the door of Tapas Hostel which is ideally located, right in the city center. I had a very warm welcome by the owner, Edwyn. The place is new and very clean. It's simply but nicely furnished. I slept in the dorm and found the bed to be very comfy. The overall atmosphere was great and the breakfast was good. You can eat in the kitchen or on the terrace (which was also used to safely store my bike). Once again, Edwyn is extremly nice and helpful. He makes this place as welcoming as can be.
The hostel is very new, and extremely clean, it's a dorm with view onto the old town! We were there in the middle of the hottest summer and were extremely relieved to see a bunch of huge air fans standing in the dorm! The breakfast they offered was super good!! The owners are very nice and helpful, explaining a lot about Maribor and its surroundings, helping with maps and so on! Definitely the hostel to stay!!
