Location is the biggest positive about the hotel. In the heart of the city centre. Nearby the main station and Palce of culture and science. The hotel is very basic but clean and breakfast (basic) is included. The staff members are friendly. The hotel is dated and balcony in the room is very long and shared with other rooms.
I stayed at the Hotel Mazowiecki in mid-October. The location was perfect - right between the main train station and the historic and charming Old Town, so about 10 minutes in each direction. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but when I did, they were friendly. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed. The breakfast was also simple, but sufficient. If you are traveling on a budget and okay with a basic hotel, this place can't be beat!
Restaurant Suggested by concierge at our hotel, and not the easy to find but well worth the effort Cold and rainy night in May and only one waiter for about 10 tables and had one of the best evenings and dinner while we were in W"Warsaw Great waiter and great food---old world charm
great place for the price, nice staff, breakfast was good, very convenient location. walking distance to many places and really easy to go to metro. clean and neat rooms. has nightlife right across the street but does not disturb you
Cozy room, friendly reception, tasty breakfast. No 5* because of an elevator (it was temporary under construction, but seems like this "temporary" is permanent). It was complicated to reach 4th floor with heavy luggage.
We chose this hotel because of the location: 15 min walking from the railway station and about the same distance to the old town. The street seems to be full of nightclubs but we were sleepy so we did not hear anything. The room was very bleak (and unfortunately it was not possible to book a room with a double bed). Its not too much to ask: it would have been possible to brighten up with a nice photo on the wall. The TV was useless: no channels but Polish. The breakfast was fair: although there were no pastries or toasts that you can typically find in European hotels. The only option was instant coffee. However, the choice of cold cuts and salads was abundant. And the cheesecake was very good. The bathroom was in the corridor. Luckily we did not have to wait. Probably it was a fair price performance ratio. I do not know if i would stay there again but this experience was ok.…
Just back from staying at this really nice hotel. Reception staff were all friendly despite some peoples reviews saying they were unfriendly. Our room was at the back of hotel so didnt get any disturbance from club noise which some reviews said they could hear from the front. Rooms were spotlessly clean and beds comfey. Fresh towels every day. Breakfast was lovely plenty to choose from cereals fruit juices teas coffee bread eggs hot sausages potato salad hams cheese cucumber tomatoes, location very good 10mins from Place of culture and science old town 15 mins walk tomb of unknown soldier few mins from hotel so much to see and do. Eating out is very cheap polish dishes a must dumplings fried with a sauce they call gravy delicious rye soup with sausage lovely we ate at a restuarant called zapiecek and gosciniec both reasonabley priced.…
The hotel is located in the city center, it only takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the Old City and to Warsaw University. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and it was lovely to find a bottle of water on the table everyday. We didn't have any problems with the shared toilet and shower as it was clean and there were two bathrooms on each floor. We were served continental breakfast, which was included. There wasn't a big choice, but still ok and served in a elegant room. Definitely a good value option, perfect location for visiting the city and close to public transport. We will definitely come back there on the next trip to Warsaw.
When traveling on a budget, was concerned that our room shared the bath room. As it turned out there was 2 bath rooms on the 2nd floor and was not an issue for us. Because of the night clubs close by, was a little noisy on the street side- worst part were the motorcycles(not the hotels fault). Our room was small with twin beds. Our room had a wash basin which was good for shaving. The breakfast was a regular Polish buffet- they always kept the items filled- we were in 1 hotel where when it was gone it was gone. We had a rent-a-car and parking is a problem trying to find a parking spot close to the hotel and then feeding the meter. Here you had to put your license plate number in with the key board- in Krakow you just put the cones in and took your time slip. First time had to have help- had never used the key pad- parking is this way all over Warsaw. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking or buses.…
I stayed here for two nights while on business in Warsaw. This is what is regarded as a tourist class hotel - very basic with no frills. Not all rooms in the hotel have their own bathroom; mine did - but keep that in mind if you decide to book a room here. My room was basic, but clean. The furniture looks like it is of the ready-to-assemble variety. The room had a television and complimentary WIFi. Breakfast was also included. I did not have the breakfast - this was my fourth hotel in ten days and I wanted a change from the typical continental European breakfast. The hotel does not have air conditioning, but windows in the rooms do open. The front desk staff were rather stoic and taciturn - a smile would have went a long way. The hotel is in a very great location, right in the heart of Warsaw. There are lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, and retail stores within walking distance. There is also a metro stop within a few minutes walk. If you are looking for a decent budget hotel in the heart of Warsaw, this is a good choice.…
