The Waksman is certainly unique. It feels more like a museum than a place to stay. Except for the suit on the top floor, everything is tiny; the rooms, the dinning area, the halls. Breakfast is quite meager and overall service is wanting. Much needed to be updated and fixed for this hotel to be recommended. However if one doesn't...

Waxman is a charming little hotel in the old town of Lublin. All of the restaurants and museums are at the doorstep. My room was on the first floor, facing to the back, and despite the lively nightlife and music, there was no noise in the room at all. The staff is very friendly, happy to help with anything you...

We stayed here one night. The hotel is located right in the small, but picturesque Old Town (the "rynek"), close to the Grodzka Gate ("Brama Grodzka"). Technically two ways of entering - either from the back (Podwale street) where you can try to find a parking spot (Mon-Fri paid parking) or from Grodzka (only pedestrians). The hotel offers parking places...

Small with good location although parking was 30zl extra per night. They had wifi problems the first day but finally restarted it correctly the second day. Curtains did not fully cover windows which made for a bright early morning and the bed was hard. Nice looking rooms and very good breakfast with some hot options cooked to order. Our initial...

Its right in the Old Town. Reasonably charming character, "proper" furniture, rooms with a rather "imperial" flavour, tapestries on the wall, a good self service breakfast with choice of a hot item (eggs or sausage). Good wifi. No lift. But too many niggles to rate better than "fair". We stayed in a back room over a summer weekend, and it...

Very well located with good bed and ok breakfast although the coffee was undrinkable but a fantastic coffeehouse near by the hotel saved a coffee thirst. The location on the TV was a bit funny you had to stand up if you wanted to see on the screen. The service was very friendly.

location was in the centre of the old town, which has its draw backs, there is no A/C so you have to leave the windows open when its hot but then you get the street noise. Shower leaked all over the floor wifi was only down stairs in the dining room. Our TV didn't work and nobody knew how to...

Pro: The hotel is sutuated in the old building in the old part of the city, an entrance is on the main street of the old city. On weekend there are a lot of interesting activities, concerts, etc. Contra: There is no silence on weekend because this is a center. Breakfast is poor. Furniture is old, it looks nice, but...

I stayed here on my first two nights in Lublin. The hotel/B&B was clean, but a bit worn. The atmosphere of this little hotel is at first impressive. An effort has clearly been made in the decoration and general appearance. However, on closer examination, the surroundings are becoming a bit worn. There are wear marks and tatters on the carpet...

“The last floor (rooms 5 and 6) are very nice, they are just under the roof. Maybe it is not convenient but you feel real oldness of the place.”

“Disabled travellers should be aware of the many stairs. Room One is at the top of the main flight and therefore the easiest to access.”

“Rooms at the back are quieter and have a view over towards the castle and the more modern part of the city - rooms at the front overlook the street within the old city and can sometimes be noisy (from revellers - there is no traffic!)”
