Our first time in Zakopane and we have booked two nights stay in Willa Rajka. The check-in was pretty quick - they are trying to avoid longer contact with any guests so they will give you the key and all the B&B rules you can read in your room. The breakfast is served in the paper bag (two rolls, jam, ham and cheese, yoghurt and water) left at your doors at 8am. There was a kettle in the room to prepare your morning coffee and tea, coffee was awful. Shame that there is no table in your room so you have to eat it on your bed. Unfortunately, we end up with a clogged shower drain. Few seconds in the shower and you had your feet full of water. As we arrived quite late on the first day, we passed the information about the faulty shower to the reception on the next day (reception works from 10 to 18 so don’t expect to see anyone before or after and it is quite hard to find it in that time anyway - you can ring the bell and wait, wait and wait). The lady from the reception said that she will try to unblock the drainage when we are away from the room. When we arrived back later that day the shower was not fixed and the water was still clogged. There was no information left on the current situation and we had to look, eventually, call the reception number to check any updates for the shower. We were informed that there was nothing that they could do to unblock the shower. We have paid 330zl per night which I think is not the cheap option so you can expect the highest standard. The standard in our room was not what we paid for so we asked for a solution. The message came from the owner/manager for Rajka (who was passing the messages through the reception lady) that we could either pack and go somewhere else with money refunded for that second night or we could just stay quiet, be happy and ignore the discomfort with the bathroom. I have worked in hotels in the past, and I have stayed in many of them but this problem could have been handled in a different way. We felt uncomfortable and decided to leave that night. We had to find another room in Zakopane quite late for that last night. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying in Rajka

I had unexpected circumstances that I had unfortunately to cancel my booking. I called them to ask them kindly if they can even schedule another date for us to visit their respective property to enjoy their facilities, the answer was with no hesitation is No, as they don’t care at all about the circumstances that their customer has faced and no matter at all. They just wanted their money, profit and no matter for the customer experience. It shows a lot about their business. Never book there or recommend any one to do so.

We stayed here for 2 nights in February. Right from the entrance, the experience was awful. The reception is not welcoming at all. There is nobody to help with your bags, you have to carry it upstairs on your own. Our room was the tiniest I have ever seen. Not at all suitable if you are claustrophobic. You have to bend a bit to use the toilet, not great if you are tall. Sleep: terrible sleep and the bed creaked. The central heating was very intermittent which meant that at 3am suddenly it was boiling hot in the room! Location: Far from the train station or the main street, so you need to take taxis everywhere or walk about 20-25 mins each time. I have always travelled on my birthdays and I have sweet memories of hotels wishing me on my birthday, sadly this one was awful ! They were not even bothered. The only plus in this villa was the breakfast chef, who always served us with a smile! Avoid at all costs, overpriced stay. There are much better log cabins and wooden hotels in Zakopane! There is nothing special about Willa Rajka.

Very disappointed with the overall administration of this villa. We arrived at 21:45 and they were informed of this arrangement in advance and they confirmed that it's not a problem. When we arrived the door was locked and we had to call them to see how we can get in. A few minutes later we were greeted by a man who led us to our room (we tried to ask simple questions such as breakfast time and whether room would be cleaned daily but he had no knowledge of English whatsoever). Room wasn't clean upon arrival as the bed was stained and there was only half a toilet paper roll. Furthermore, when I opened a small wooden cupboard to place my hand luggage, I found an empty croissant wrapping and an empty juice bottle. This confirmed that the room was not prepared prior our arrival. Although the room was aesthetically pleasing it was smelly and central heating couldn't be switched off. Although they claimed that room should be cleaned daily our room was only cleaned twice (and only because we requested it) during our 5-day stay. All complaints had to be passed via email as no one in this villa understands English. This procedure of sending emails felt like we were speaking to an oracle who in return translated our pleas in Polish to the housekeeper. The housekeeper (who is the same person that prepares breakfast), always told the person in charge that she cleaned our room even though the room was not made. Another thing which bothered us was that towels were not changed on a daily basis. The hotel's excuse was that they wanted to abide by the co-friendly regulation. Every single hotel we've been to changed our towels everyday, without the need of sending an email to request new towels. The most shocking thing was when we saw food from the breakfast left overnight (we noticed this when we tried to find someone from the management to give us new towels). All the food was left outside. Besides this, choice of breakfast is also very poor as there was only cold cuts, yogurt and some bread. The villa's 'reception' is unattanded and even if you wish to book a taxi or ask for suggestions about Zakopane, there is no one to do so. Another thing was that no invoice receipt was given to us, unlike other hotels where we stayed during our stay in Wroclaw and Krakow. Although we could have seen to this in advance, this accomodation is 30 minutes away from the central area of Zakopane and therefore most of our money was spent on taxis and transport. You could definitely find a much better place with the price that is requested by this villa. Total rip off.

We stayed here for 1 night in oktober 2017. The house is very beautiful built with timber and a lot of wooden details. We would have liked to stay nere longer. It is a little walk in to the centre of Zakopane. The parkingplace was good.

We have stayed last summer when on mini break to Zakopane. Good stuff: it was big with loads of space. The hotel is beautiful, amazing lodge like feel, rooms very clean and comfortable with great beds and nice decor. We loved that. Breakfast was great. So much choice and food was excellent with cold and hot options and extras every day. The place with its furniture, food and views from the hotel makes you relax and really have a feel of Poland. The actual restaurant/ lounge is open 24/h and you can sit on a sofa and relax when having tea and there is also big coffee machine available. Staff are really nice and very welcoming, very open and friendly and genuine. The hotel is 2 min drive from centre and has a free parking on the back. Bad staff: There is a football field right next to the hotel, I mean right next to it. The road is busy and not as quiet as you would have it in Koscielisko. The main gate is always closed so you have to park In front of it, get out of the car and use the buzzer/intercome so they can open it. It was very annoying as sometimes we had to wait few minutes. Staff did not speak very good English and unfortunately this is a problem when most of the guests are foreign and the hotel is very expensive. I think you can do much better with the location and price. Also we haven’t realised that most hotels/villas in Zakopane are wooden lodge style. So overall it’s a nice hotel in Zakopane however way overpriced and would not stay again.

The Villa looks really smart and nice- autentic Poland style inside and outside as well. It is a little far frim the center- about 20 minutes by foot- but really quiet and possible to relax. Our room was small but the furniture made from wood which is really comfortable. The bathroom was clean the only negative thing is the wc was very close to the bath- if you are a bigger people maybe you can't sit 😊 of course we cannot see other rooms, perhaps not the same bathroom there. The staff was very very polite, friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was really tasty and fresh, you can ask omlett with different things inside which was made by the man freshly. Food quality is high and worth what we had payed for it. You can park in the garden, and there is a small shop on the street about 50m far.

This is a true gem. The house is featured with beautiful detail in the wood. All bedrooms are made of wood. All very clean and nicely decorated. There is always tea avalaible and something to nibble like sponge cake. Breakfast was really nice with a hot surprise every day. A lot of different cold cuts and different cheeses. The only negative is communicating in english is hard as the owners don't speak English. But the stay was truly amazing :)

Decor and amazing breakfast. It was way past 11 AM, We overslept and thought we missed the breakfast at that moment we heard a sudden knock on the door and a soft voice said "would you like us to wait for you with breakfast." When we came down the stairs what happened next was something out of a a fairytale. The enormous breakfast table was filled with different types of cheeses, cold cuts, hot bread and rolls. After we loaded up on all of those goodies a waitress told us about another set of breakfast choices straight out of the kitchen. The experience changed my life forever. Not to mention the villas authentic mountaineer decor style with breath taking views.

This hotel was the highlight of our stay in Zakopane. Two of us, we booked 3 nights. The suite was spacious, clean, and so very beautiful! We had two balconies and a view of the Tatra mountains. Every room has the same beautiful view. Internet was fast. The service was beyond fantastic, great breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. The walls are a bit "thin" (not very sound proofed) but we did not experience any problems because of that. We loved it so much there we stayed in one day and worked/read books in the garden and in our suit. It's the most beautiful house in Zakopane, in my opinion. The evening/night reception worker (Mr Jerzy?) was very accommodating, upon our arrival he informed us where the nearest grocery shop was, where they play live music, how much a taxi to downtown should cost, and how long it takes to walk there. My boyfriend left his suit in the cupboard and the two day time receptionists are currently arranging to send it back to us. I loved it there.
