the current trip adviser pictures do not do the hotel wersal justice. the hotel is now part of the bachleda resort next door. The outside of the hotel had been upgraded and also the reception area and restaurant have also had a face lift. The rooms are still the same but were completely fine for our 5 night stay. the room was large and so was the bed and the bathroom was clean. The staff were really helpful especially adam on reception who ironed out an issue that arose on arrival with the minimum of fuss. we stayed bed and breakfast and i have to say the breakfast was terrific with lots of choice in lovely surroundings. there are also spa facilities available at the bachleda resort which wersal customers can use. the hotel and resort are connected by a corridor so no messing around. robes are provided which is a nice touch. the spa is brand new and is high quality with a plunge pool , sauna , Jacuzzi and steam room and after a day skiing is most welcome. if im being completely honest there was one small issue.... the information on the website needs updating regarding the provision of transport to and from the ski slopes but this was only a small thing as adam on reception sorted it with no fuss. all in all an excellent stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in zakopane. …
Just back from a 2 night stay here and it was definitely our favourite stay during our trip to Poland! When booking I had mentioned it was our anniversary. When we checked in the gentleman behind the desk was so lovely and helpful! We wanted to go to a thermal baths and he gave us vouchers to go to Aqualand free of charge! He answered all of our questions and told us we had been upgraded which was so appreciated. We got to the room and it was absolutely huge and spotlessly clean! It had a balcony with a fabulous view of the mountains and they had left us some lovely desserts and a fruit basket - such a lovely touch and really brightened our day up after a long road trip! The hotel is in a great location, 2 minutes walk from the Main Street in Zakopane free parking onsite was a great bonus. We only ate here once, we had breakfast this morning which was lovely. Lots of choice and all fresh food. The staff made us feel so welcome, they were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us! We definitely wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel to others! …
3 mates travelled to Zakopane to do some walking and a bit of fun, including rafting. We also decided to visit Auschwitz on our return to Wroclaw. The Wersal is currently surrounded by hotels undergoing major restoration. We knew that before we left. We wanted a good destination and a triple room rather than camping as has been previous trips. Getting too old!! A few hundred yards from the main drag. Loads of shops, bars, restaurants etc. We enjoyed happy beers and meals! The hotel staff were brilliantly helpful. We accessed the Tetras via a bus and ignored the gondola and set off. 16 miles later and a brilliant ridge walk, we, no I, completely knackered, but what a place. Visit! Breakfasts were beautifully set out. Many foods were a little alien to the UK but that is what travel is about. Highly recommended. We got exactly what we Wanted!…
Location is great, 10 min walking distance from Zakopane center. However the hotel is in poor condition and needs to be refurbish a bit. There are some construction works nearby so the best is to reserve the room with a parking side view or check with the staff if works are already finished. Employees are nice and helpfull, parking is free and they have enough parking spaces. Rooms are clean and breakfast has enough choice. If you are for a quick vacations in Zakopane I would certainly reccomend this hotel
Was at this hotel for 1 night and my review as follows: 1) Location: It is just 400 metres walk from the Town Centre of Zakopane which has plenty of shops and shopping and it is about 1km away from the cable car station to the snow mountain. Yes, there was a major construction beside the hotel but we had no problem finding a car park at this hotel and it was free. Overall, i think the hotel location is good. 2) Hotel Outlook and Check In: Hotel outlook looks ok but once you enter, it does feel old and run down. Check in was ok and staff can speak english. There is also an elevator to the rooms. So, it is not bad. 3) Room on 3rd floor. We had the room on the 3rd floor and it was small and compact. It was without balcony. Bathroom size however was ok. Matress and pillow quality were bad - too soft and is without proper support. The room does feel old and in need of refurbishment with new proper mattress. I have mixed feelings on the room quality although i was given a room not facing the major construction. Overall, the room is average to poor standards in my opinion and in need of some make over. 4) Wifi: Wifi speed was ok and reasonable. 5) Buffet Breakfast: The spread was quite good for a 3 star hotel. It has hot and cold options as well as juices and coffee machine. Breakfast room also look quite grand in my opinion. I did enjoy the breakfast. Overall, if you are looking for modern rooms, this hotel is definitely out. However, if you are looking for a budget stay which is not too expensive, this hotel can be considered if the rate is not too high. The hotel has a lot of potential to be better.…
Traditional hotel that still uses a key. No air conditioning or heater control ( no complains as it’s winter and don’t need it) To be fair I booked last min and staff didn’t have the chance to inform me that there’s a major construction going on just behind the rooms. Room is pretty spacious since I upgraded to the deluxe. Read an earlier comment and found it totally true. Cups and kettle provided with no tea or coffee. So why provide at all? Breakfast not included but can be with additional 40zlt. Check in was done by a very friendly and helpful woman. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. To be fair for the rate, it’s pretty decent for a night or two.
First coffee maker in room but no coffee or tea. Hotel states they do not provide this. Eggs runny and barely warm. Came back from our day outing and my empty used coffee cup still in the room along with a candy wrapper on the table. Also noticed that the tv stand needed a good dusting. There were no tissue's in the room. The hotel does not provide this. The soap for washing was in a wall mounted dispenser with one by the sink and the other in the shower. This hotel needs a serious make over.
A clean and tidy hotel. We had a 4 night stay while on a walking holiday. Our room on the 3rd floor had no balcony but this wasn't missed.Room a decent size with decent shower room.Twin beds were a bit softer than we are used to.Extra pillows and hairdryer had to ordered from reception.A good range of breakfast choices with some hot We ate out at night, the town centre a 5 minute walk away with plenty of choice and very good value. The hotel is at the start of an extension build and while we were not bothered I would imagine that noise intrusion may become more annoying as the months pass.
The town of Zakopane lies in a beautiful valley and is surrounded by beautiful nature. Hotel was clean, breakfast was very good with wide choice of different dishes, staf was kind. My bed was quite old and worn out and it should be replaced. Center is not far from hotel, few minutes walking. The town is very lively and it offers a lot. I hope we would come here again, but in winter.
Old-world charm, friendly service, convenient yet quiet. This hotel has been around forever, but they stay relevant with good service, included breakfast buffet, economical pricing, great views, and close proximity to the main shopping area while being just far enough to offer a quiet night's sleep. Nothing fancy here, but still my favorite unpretentious hideaway from the crowds at a price I can afford. Also free parking, which is really good because it's so busy downtown and hard to park. Better to stay here, park here, and walk into downtown.
