#17 of 107 hotels in Gdansk
Hotel Gdansk is the best boutique hotel in the Tricity and a true flagship hotel of Gdansk. Uniquely situated by the picturesque yacht marina, in the heart of the city, the hotel is often recognized as a special place in the city center. The hotel has two synergic components - a granary from the XVIIIth century, restored with great attention to detail, enchanting with its elegance and history, and the Yachting part, whose modern decorating themes infuse the interiors with a sea-inspired look. Thus, the fascinating history and traditions of the city of Gdansk are strongly present in the both parts of Hotel Gdansk. The Spa in Hotel Gdansk is one of the most modern and fashionable Spas at the Baltic coast, and one of the best Med Spas in Poland.Hotel Gdansk Restaurant is an unusual restaurant in a unique place. It serves exquisite dishes of Polish and Gdansk regional cuisine. The mini-brewery is a great addition to the boutique complex and a very interesing attraction for Hotel Gdansk guests, who may here try the best beer in Poland. Our Schwarzbier (dark beer) received this title during the prestigious beer contest in Zywiec 2011. There is always someting interesting happening in our brewery. At least 3 times a week you can enjoy live music.

We have to write a very positive rewiev about our stay at the Hotel. Due to changing recommendations and restrictions, nothing was certain until the last minute. However, the great e-mail contact with the Hotel Manager, Mr. Krzysztof Kowalczyk, made everything simple. He was very kind, helpful and gave us a lot of support. At the hotel, we have been wonderfully served by Ladies Weronika and Natalia from the reception and a very polite, beautifully dressed Porter. Our apartment was very clean, well equipped, very comfortable large bed, spotless linen and towels, great toiletries in the bathroom, breakfast delivered to our apartment daily due to restaurant meal restrictions. Full professionalism and great friendliness towards the guests. The hotel is wonderfully located in the heart of the Old Town, overlooking the historic Crane. It was a great deal to stay in this standard for such money. We can strictly recommened Hotel Gdansk Boutique and we would like to thank to each of staff who made our stay so fantastic.

The Browary says they'd offered the best beer in Gdansk. So we tasted it. You can order smaller glasses for tasting the different beers and all are very good. Our personal favourit is the Hefeweizen. So taste the different ones and choose what you like, you won' t admire it.

We had booked to stay here for 4 nights in March 2020 (17th-21st). We received an email from the hotel on the 13th of March (screen shot attached) explaining that due to the spread of coronavirus they would be cancelling our stay, as they were not offering accommodation services. We were fully accepting of this given the circumstances and asked how to access our refund as we had paid at the time of booking. The hotel told us that this would be processed by the booking company, Opodo. We have waited four months for our refund to be processed and we have now been told that we will not receive a refund as HOTEL GDANSK have REJECTED our refund request. We have not been provided with any rational as to why our request has been rejected. The booking was cancelled through no fault of our own, so I think it is completely unfair that we should be £411.80 out of pocket when this hotel was unable to provide the service. DO NOT BOOK TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY. I'd imagine many others are in the same situation through no fault of their own.

Dear Jake, We did not receive any information about the change of your reservation status. If we had, we would have agreed for the free of charge cancellation. According to your email, Opodo answered you today – over 4 months after the date of the reservation. It is unclear what caused such delay and why did they refuse (we did not receive any information and it was not our call). Can you provide us the date when your request was sent to Opodo? Was it before the date of initial reservation? As our reservation agent informed you, we cannot initiate cancellation process. It has to be done by Guest. We would like to ensure you that during pandemics we were doing our best to provide our Guest with solution satisfying for both sides, such as: voucher for the value of the reservation, transferring reservation for another dates or refunds. If we had receive such request we would have agreed as our reservation agent informed you. Unfortunately we did not receive any request for last 4 months. Kind regards, Hotel Gdańsk staff

Pros: - Location: (Walking) Old Town (7mins), Mariacka Street (9mins), Dluga Street (13mins), Museum of the Second World War (15mins). - Bathroom amenities: Soap bar, combined shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, sewing kit, vanity kit, shower cap, shoe sponge, shoe horn, hairdryer (1200w). - Complimentary bottles of water each day and welcome beer from their brewery. - Free in-room WiFi (excellent speeds, approx. 88Mbps). - Large in-room safe. - Comfortable bed, good sleep, excellent shower and water pressure. Cons: - Bathroom amenities: Surprisingly, for a 5-star hotel, there are no tissues supplied in the room. Also, as other reviews have mentioned here, the fan in the bathroom is on 24hrs a day and can be quite loud if you leave the bathroom door open. - Breakfast: Again, especially for a 5-star hotel, it is surprising that they charge 10PLN (2EUR/3USD) extra for fresh juice at the breakfast buffet.

Very safe bet to opt for it.
