We arrived in Prague by train and used our trusty iPhone satnav to direct our short walk through town to find where we should be. Firstly, there are a lot of stairs at this hostel, however, there is a working lift if you're not feeling energetic! Checking in was simple and reception staff were very friendly. We were only staying...

Group of 4 English 18-year-olds. Stayed here in Prague for 2 nights whilst interrailing and had an awesome time. Stayed in a room of 12 - some people from Dublin, some from Scotland, two girls from California. All were very friendly and gave us some good recommendations of what to do whilst in Prague. Only real criticism were the showers...

We were not orginally booked at this hostel. Ours had overbooked and sent us here which was fine. Everything was similar. You get free breakfast (tea, coffee, cereal) and a sandwich which we took out with us for a free lunch. The wifi is spotty but if you find the right spots it works well. The room was REALLY hot...

We had a bad experience here- found bed bugs when we got to our room and the handling of this situation by the staff just got progressively worse. First, their solution "change the sheets"--what?! No, that won't work! Second, the front desk guy said he'd help find us somewhere else w an open room/ beds and he didn't even pretend...

We had the absolute best time in Prague. We stayed in an eight bed mixed dorm and everyone was lovely, and it was very secure and homely. It was fairly well clean; sometimes the bathrooms got a bit manky, but it really didn't phase us. One of the best things about this place was the location, we didn't need public...

I've travelled plenty and my experience with hostels is somewhat limited! However my stay at the Old Prague Hostel was very enjoyable! It had bare basics and wifi was a tad patchy however the social atmosphere was really good! It's five minutes from the Town Square which makes getting around and seeing the sights very easy. Staff were very good...

We stayed with a group of 6 in one room which was nice. There are lockers for everyone in the room. The kitchen was okay and the breakfast service was nice. The staff was very helpful and was always ready to help us to find our way around. It was a nice location because you can walk to everything you...

The location is pretty prime - five minute was to old square max but beyond that this hostel is pretty basic. There is a full kitchen to make meals but the rooms are kinda of cramped and only one toilet for a whole cluster of rooms. But fairly cheap and you can't beat the location. The artwork on the walls...

The hostel was very large, and it was slightly annoying that there were sometimes lines for the toilets but overall it was clean and convenient. More importantly it was a ten minute walk from old town square, and about five minutes from the jewish quarter. We walked everywhere and enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend this hostel to...

Myself and a group of friends visited prauge to have a look around and have a good time. Firstly the hostel is directly opposite a police station, this shouldn't be an issue but the hostel kept on reminding us of this and threatening us as well. Small practical jokes made within our group and causing no damage to anyone or...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
