We booked Hotel Residence Agnes because of the good reviews on TA. Those glowing reviews we're well founded! This is a 22 room Boutique Hotel - so if you like large, corporate hotels, this is not the place for you. But if you want incredible service, and if you want to be made to feel welcome, and at home, you...

I live by the mantra that it isn't where you go but who you are with that counts. The staff at the Agnes would have made it a great experience if they were in Siberia (sorry Russia, no offense). They take ownership of your vacation the moment you check in to ensure that your objectives are met. Their desire to...

Based on the reviews we saw on Trip Advisor, I booked us into this wonderful hotel. Of course, I had concerns that some/many of the reviews were written by friends or relatives of the hotel owners. They were not. All the wonderful reviews you see below are true. This is truly an amazing hotel. Several weeks before we arrived, we...

This place is so wonderful I didn't even wait until the end of my stay to post a review ( and I rarely write reviews). Hotel Agnes is located right in the town square however it is tucked away so it provides a quiet stay. The team at hotel Agnes greets you with exceptional hospitality, they have a driver on...

OMG what an experience. The hotel staff was super helpful to plan our stay in Prague. Geðveikt hótel, fullkomin þjónusta plana fyrir mann ferðir og veitingastaði, skemmir ekki að hótelið skutlar frítt og það er frítt að drekka léttvin á hótelinu.

We spent three nights at this cozy boutique hotel. Location was great for touring, on a very quiet street. The staff was unbelievable. They began with a city orientation as soon as we arrived. Anytime we walked back into the hotel, we were greeted with friendly smiles and offers of drinks ranging from coffee to beer to wine, Breakfasts were...

The location is excellent for anywhere in the old town. The Hotel offers complimentary transport to anywhere further afield in Prague. They will book restaurants and taxis for you. Breakfast is pleasant and unlimited and complimentary tea, coffee and wine is available all day. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful indeed. Not 5 stars because our room...

We stayed three nights and were totally overwhelmed by the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they helped us plan each day and made excellent recommendations for dining. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Decor not the most modern, but absolutely fine. Breakfasts offered good variety of hot food,...

We just finished four days in Prague staying @ Residence Agnes. From the moment we were picked up by Ales at the train station until we checked out with Michalea, the whole staff treated us like royalty. Frank the owner is real hands on and sees to every detail to ensure our stay was perfect. Their breakfast buffet is first-class....

My husband, son and I stayed at Hotel Residence Agnes last week and had such incredible service that we will never forget the warmth and hospitality we received during our stay. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door with drinks and snacks and offered help to plan our trip. The owner ran out to get a...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”.
