Stayed here for three nights with friends in two double connecting rooms. Would highly recommend - glass of fizz on arrival and the rooms and bathrooms are massive! Reception staff were really helpful and attentive and recommended us things to do and maps etc and helped by keeping our luggage after check out. Towels, slippers and toiletries were provided per person and coffee/tea and we went with the included breakfast option which was also great because there was loads of choice available for food and drink options both hot and cold. There is a beer spa at the hotel which is a must to visit if you fancy doing something different for once. If we had to comment on one particular thing, it would be that we stayed on the top floor and there was a lot of drilling happening above us around 8/9am which wasn’t great as we came for a holiday, but it wasn’t the worst thing in the world, I would still recommend this hotel, just maybe suggest that the hotel considers repair work at a later time if possible. Thank you for our stay though, it was great and I would come again.…
This hotel is very central and within 10 minute walk of the old town and Wenceslas square. Hotel is very welcoming with a glass of fizz on arrival which is always a winner for me! The rooms were clean and well kept and had all the facilities I would expect. Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows, nice toiletries, decent shower. Breakfast was varied and despite complaints I have seen on here I cannot fault it. If you want a full English, stay in England! They have a wide election of fruit, pastries, hot food is bacon, hash browns, eggs and other things more continental that I am not familiar with! There is also cereal, pancakes, yoghurt and plenty of fresh juice. Not sure what more can be expected to be honest. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again, couldn't fault any of it.…
The bartender was very pleasant and made great efforts. The doorman was friendly. My bed however was not made in the mornings and the runner/pillows were left in a pile on the floor each day by the cleaners. Overall pleasant!
Lovely welcome to the hotel with a glass of Prosecco, Room was ready despite us being there a couple of hours early. We were on the 5th floor so view was a little lmited due to the location but that didn't detract at all. Only criticisms of the room were that the 5th floor Aircon system was out so we had to adjust the temp by the radiator/window and I'd say even as a fairly fit guy it's not easy to get in and out of the bath. Small things though. Lovely welcome gift for my wife's birthday which was much appreciated. Breakfast had a great selection - something for everyone and very tasty. Final thing to say a particular thanks to the chap behind the bar on Saturday evening. He did an amazing job on his own with a bar ful of people many watching the World Cup Qtr final. Not only did he ensure no one waited more than a minute or so, he also mopped the floor and got extra chairs out when the bar reached standing room only stage. All in all a great hotel in a fantastic location. We will certainly stay again if/when we return to Prague.…
This hotel is definitely 5 stars in my eyes. The building itself is beautiful. These are the reasons why I give it 5 stars. Airport shuttle service excellent and very cheap. Reception on arrival very friendly and given a glass of prosecco. My room although a little small i loved it. Beautiful tall ceilings. The bed, pillows and cushions, well it was luxury. I could not wait to get into bed. The bathroom had everything you need. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, tissues, shower cap, vanity box, sewing box, shoe shine, dressing gown and slippers. There was also clothes brush and shoe horn. Lovely. Oh and the towels were beautiful. I am not a breakfast person. Do not expect a full english breakfast, but what i had was lovely. They have everything there to suit every one. Book the beer spa. It was a lovely experience. I bought some products from the spa for Xmas presents. My husband loved it, he was falling asleep in the hay. Can I just say a big thank you to the Michelangelo staff, and a special thank you to Petra who gave my husband, brother and sister in law, end myself a balcony room. It was very much appreciated. Prague is a very beautiful city. Would i go again. Yes. Thank you all for a truly memorable 💖 stay. Kind regards Philomena and Tony Fallon, Dermot and Katherine Rickard. xxxx …
Couldn't fault the hotel at all. Very good staff, excellent room, great variety of options at breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. You can walk to the old town square in 10 to 15 minutes and Wenceslas Square is only 5 minutes away. Lots of bars and restaurants within minutes of the hotel.
Fantastic hotel in a central location. From start to finish this hotel was amazing. We arrived at 12pm and our triple room was ready for us to be able to dump all our stuff and go start exploring. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, providing details of things to do and maps for getting about. There were 3 other groups that were on the same flight as us, and all were able to check into their room. The room was huge, with 3 proper single beds, which were really comfy, and enough room to put our cases away without having to dodge round them. Hotel is perfectly situated, it was about a 10 min walk from Old Town Square, and a 15 min walk from Wenceslas Square. Breakfasts were amazing with lots of choices and regularly refilled. When leaving there was a left luggage area and the concierge was only too happy to help. Will definitely be back We will be back to Prague and to this hotel…
Great welcome, beautiful room with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, water and toiletries in the bathroom, fantastic breakfast. Overall a quality, simple and elegant stay and would most definitely stay here again and recommend
Hotel is great location in relation to all tourist attractions, around a 10-15 min walk to the old town square. Our room was very large and spacious, big comfy bed. No kettle in room however, just a coffee machine which was temperamental at times. Bottled water was refreshed daily which was much appreciated. Toiletries also supplied and replenished throughout our stay. No welcome drink on arrival as promised online, perhaps this was because we arrived after 6pm. Breakfast was great, lots of choices of hot/food savoury/sweet. Breakfast staff a little on the unfriendly side, all standing around looking scared to speak. Would say this hotel was 3*- don't get me wrong, gorgeous building with nice facilities, but not the 5* standard I've experienced elsewhere. Would return.
We had a long weekend family break in Prague and chose the Michelangelo Grand based on other reviews. We were not disappointed, the staff are excellent, professional, polite and helpful. The location is very good, easy access to many points of interest and close to public transport. The area is good, not too busy but plenty of life nearby. The hotel itself is excellent, a lovely old building with comfortable rooms. Breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone, it can be quite busy but generally it was very easy to get a table quickly and the staff work tirelessly to turn the tables around. Overall, I would highly recommend The Michelangelo Grand as a great place to stay if you visit this fantastic city.
