The most important quality about the hotel is its staff. I must thank Martina, Lucas, Katerina, Silvia & Charlie are the best staff I have encountered in all my travels. Thanks to their work ethics and commitment, everything is possible. The hotel is maybe better than what you see online. It is not a pretentious as many other claimed boutique...

Fabulous contemporary hotel within walking distance of the Old town square. This hotel is definately for the younger set looking for comfortable, modern hotel rooms but with a trendy bar/club downstairs. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure everything was as it should be, even to the point of booking restaurants and helping with online...

The Icon is an excellent choice for a stay in Prague. It is well located and stylish. The desk staff people all speak great English & are extremely helpful. The rooms are modern, well equipped and comfortable. The bedding is luxurious. The breakfast is very generous. The hotel is a little hard to find because the signs with its name...

Our room 108 was a bit noisy due to air conditioning tubes passing directly in front of the window. The hotel is nice, clean, staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. The bed is great. Breakfast buffet with possibility to order warm dishes a la carte. We tried the welness centre as well and we were...

Breakfast was included and well worth it...great assortment of foods, as well as eggs to order. Loved the location...lots of fun bars...

My husband & I stayed at the Icon for three nights. The rooms are very clean & the location is great - close to Wenceslas Square as well as the Metro & train stations and well within walking distance of the major Prague landmarks. We enjoyed the breakfast & had massages at the spa, and crazy as it sounds, the...

My husband and I spent 3 nights here including the New Year's Eve. Chose this hotel because it is highly rated on TA. But it was a disappointing stay. The hotel appears to be a "hip-wannabe" but isn't quite there yet. Our standard room is comfortable and roomy, but certainly not luxurious. The wall of the room is shockingly thin,...

I selected the Icon for my stay in Prague based on the many positive reviews I read on Tripadvisor. The excellent service, modern decor, great beds. hotel bar and club scene, central location and all day breakfast (a big plus) are all well documented. They even have an on site spa. Therefore, I had high expectations. What I did not expect...

I had a pleasant stay at icon hotel, starting from the reception staff that seemed very friendly and willing to help. furthermore the rooms have a nice clean feel to them with excellent beds to sleep in. Perfect hotel to stay in - located just around the corner of Wensceles square and about 10 minutes to Old town square. Nice design, good size of bathroom, decent breakfast (all day!) and fantastic beds in the rooms - never slept better. The biggest plus of this hotel is staff - young service-minded professionals yet very friendly. Great value for...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
