We loved staying at the Savic, with its very friendly and accommodating staff (shout-out to the lovely receptionist). We particularly enjoyed staying in room 206, with it's painted coffered ceiling and large bath tub. It's a Renaissance experience with all the modern amenities. Centrally located, and as charming as any building in Prague's Old Town. It's also handy to the...

As part of a city break, we stayed at the Savic from the 4th to the 8th May, having been advised, by friends, of the hotel's convenient location. The Savic is, indeed, a pleasant place to stay, housed in a beautiful old building in the centre of the cobbled-streeted old town, and close to all the 'must see' attractions. Arriving...

I visited the Czech Republic as a part of a media team supporting the Czech qualifiers for an international event. I looked at a lot of hotels in Prague and finally settled on the Savic. It was just what I needed. A central location, not a 'travel' style property and with some local character. The receptionist could not have been...

A lovely quiet spot one block off the main drag. Two many attractions within a walking distance to list. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Fantastic period room with reclaimed beams and a five star bathroom. Old town Prague was truly enchanting. Every turn was like a postcard. I see now why Prague is referred to as the Paris of...

You really can't beat the location of this hotel. It's a 2 minute walk from old town square and the astronomical clock and a 5 minute walk to Charles Bridge. There are several great restaurants and brewpubs close by, including Pivovar U Tri Ruzi which is right next door and has great beer and good food. The hotel allowed us...

When I got to my room I was in shock at how large it was. It had beautiful wooden floors and high ceilings. This is the best place to stay for the location and looks. However, I do have some criticisms. 1. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. This includes hostel beds, sofa beds,...

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights this past February. We absolutely adored our room, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The location made getting around incredibly easy. We will definitely stay here again if we're ever back in Prague.

Unbeatable location, large room, spacious bathroom, sprawling breakfast (included), decor of rooms in line with ye olde surroundings in Old Town. The staff was terrifically friendly, with good English. Would happily stay again.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
