Had dinner at restaurant u schnellu on 9 jan 2015 6pm but did not stay at hotel. Ordered the set 1 and 3 menu at 275 for 3 dishes cautiously after our horrendous experience at Dom Beisl vienna Austria ( go read my post ) . The food is very good and filling. Service is prompt with very little waiting...

This hotel is amazing! They offer breakfast and 20% discount if you lunch and/or diner there (they are a restaurant too) and it's tasteful! The localization is speechless, near every thing you have to see in Prague and away from nosy. There are a few things that you should now if you are going to stay there: 1- the Internet...

It is a very good hotel in the historical center of Prague. You can easily reach on foot the castle as well as the old city. In addition you have a discount if you decide to eat at the hitel's restaurant which is also very nice...

1. This is both a restaurant and a hotel combination, free breakfast and 20% discount for lunch and dinner 2. No lift, you can't be on wheelchair. 3. No kettle, I guess this is common in Europe. (We didn't really ask the reception for one) 4. There's bathtub... Yay! Hey! Don't think this is going the negative way. I have...

My husband and me spent just 3 nights in this cute little hotel half a kilometre away from Hradschin. We had booked a double room and were surprised by it's generous size. It could have been used as a room for 3, there was kind of an extra bed. The room was clean and comfortable. Matresses were really hard (we...

To see old Prague this is a great location. Just across the Charles Bridge and at the foot of the castle hill you can see everything on foot. Rooms are clean and comfortable, private bathroom had a shower and bath, room had a safe, tv and free wifi. Staff are very friendly, speak good English and willing to give advice...

After a busy day in Prague, we became hungry and fell upon this restaurant by an accident (we had a room in a different hotel nearby, but it did not serve meals except breakfasts). We were very pleased with our choice - the staff was pleasant and knowledgeable and spoke fluently Czech, English and Russian (probably even more, but we...

An excellent boutique-type hotel full of charm with helpful and friendly staff who made our stay a pleasure. Our room was comfortable, nicely furnished and quiet. The hotel is very convenient for the Charles Bridge - literally five minutes 'around the corner'; Prague Castle and the tram system to take you wherever you choose in the city. The restaurant and...

This hotel is a hidden gem in Prague, beautiful rooms, very friendly staff and a great location. The room was spotless, very comfortable and very quiet. 5 mins from the Charles bridge and 15 mins from Prague castle. Trams don't roar past the front of the hotel!! I would highly recommend this hotel for your break in Prague

I liked this place! Quirky-- A Bugatti Bike in the restaurant, Stairwells decorated with underwear models, funny room keys , and strange anatomy. Not to be expected in a building hundreds of years old. But, cozy rooms were clean, beds futon comfortable and street life outside lively. Hotel and restaurant were attentive, dropping their waiter duties to carry our luggage...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
