I was asked to move to Czech Inn from Sophie's Hostel (under reconstruction). I hesitated at first because the location was not considered central to me. But the reviews were great and so I went. Even though the location was farther away than I preferred the Tram 22 line was right outside the hostel and took me directly to the area I needed in about 20 minutes. The hostel was in a quiet neighborhood so there was no party noise. I stayed in a private room with AC which was wonderful. The private room had a small refrigerator, electric kettle, and tea bags which was helpful. The only small issue was the motion sensor light in the bathroom needed to be adjusted so not to shut off on me while in the bathroom. The staff and manager were pleasant to talk to and friendly. I didn't feel any negative energy. I would have liked to have more social events arranged by the hostel but I understand that COVID precautions might have affected this. The common kitchen was small and could have been kept cleaner but I know a lot has to do with the people staying at the hostel and how much they help with keeping the area clean. The continental breakfast was good for the price. I liked the breakfast area and common area - cool looking.…
Stayed two nights at the Czech Inn whilst interailing. Amazing place that’s a short bus ride away from the main town. Staff were all welcoming, helpful and friendly. Has a shared kitchen, bar and cafe that are all open 24/7! Rooms were clean and tidy. We stayed in a shared room and it was the nicest we’ve been to on the entire trip. Beds are ample and comfy with a lot of head room so you can sit up under the top bunk. Bathrooms were also impeccably clean for a shared area & the showers were high-end hotel standard. You should definitely stay here, you will not be disappointed!
The room we had was the economy twin, the beds were rather sub par. My bed felt like it sloped off in one direction. Our room had no airconditioning, this made the room unbearably hot and with no real ventilation and high temperatures, sleeping was an ordeal, the space was tiny compared to cheaper or similarly priced hotels we stayed in during our time in Prague. Due to unfortunate circumstances back home we had to leave within 24 hours of our check in time, the employee at the front desk told us that it would be possible to leave and receive a refund. Several weeks later we have yet to receive our money back or get anything in the form of an update regarding our refund. The people at the front desk have no way to contact management, or so they claim. The only form of contact available is through email, to which they responded in the beginning, but have since failed to respond to any of our follow up emails. If you want a decent accommodation for the same price we paid, look for a hotel. Another think that was irksome was that they ad a bar in the basement of the hostel that closed rather early, it was advertised to be open from "7 until (at least) midnight", as per their website, they closed the bar a little after ten because they apparently didn't have enough people in the bar. All in all, if you want to go cheap go for the hostel experience and don't get a private room, they aren't worth it.…
Nice place with nice staff always willing to help. Breakfast very good value, dorms clean, neat, and quiet. Location easy to go to old town, airport or main train station. Definitely will stay here again.
It is an incredibly beautiful building and has a very nice and cozy reception/Cafe area with really good coffee. There is a bar downstairs which also gets vibey most nights. The building is very well kept and is very clean. When I was there though the showers were lukewarm. The staff were also not very friendly, but otherwise great stay!
Perfect hostel for a solo backpacker! Met so many friendly people, very clean and well managed, fans in each room incase it gets too hot, I didn’t use the laundry room but I wish I did. The reception is open for everyone to talk, I would just sit down and introduce myself to the people around me. Beds are comfy and they do have a curtain to give a bit of privacy. Although it’s outside the city centre, the tram stop outside the hostel takes you all the way around town!
This is a great place to stay in Prague. It's great for a budget but is still really nice, modern, and clean. The staff were always very friendly and helpful to me, and it has a nice little cafe at the bottom to sit in and do some work. The location is really great. The Vinohrady neighborhood is a really cool neighborhood in Prague. It's a close walk to Wenceslas and a lot of the historic sights, but the neighborhood itself has a ton of great restaurants, cafes, and pubs. The Czech Inn is a great launching off point to see the city, and a great place to return to at the end of the day. Highly recommend.
I love this place. The best hostel I've stayed in. Very social rooms, a fun bar and a great location. Lovely staff and good team links (get the 22 into town) - If you're there on the weekend and you're into techno, go to Ankali. That's the only advise I'm going to give people
Nice stay but the first night I was so tired travelling but wasn’t any hot water and not heating in the room . The room was booked for 3 people but luckily I was alone that night. But really spoiled not having shower and complain next morning . Another girl came to my next bed . Apparently she complained as well not having enough hot water . I went out for the day and surprise I saw some of the staff smoking something weird with another guest smell bad . In the entrance of the hotel . Anyway is not my Bussiness whatever they do in their own free time but this is public place and it’s not nice for customers trying to relax and enjoying they stay. Definitely I like the location and the price wasn’t bad at all when am travelling solo looking for budget and been comfortable and feel safe . Definitely not coming back but I would say that the place is clean and trendy . I think is more for youngsters and back packers . Coffee at the shop was expensive 2.50 per small cup of coffee . Location good and transport access easy to central . Shops around and mini takeaways and bars .…
I was very pleased with my stay at Czech Inn. Housed in a beautiful hold building, the interior is stylish and modern. Card key access to all rooms, elevator, small but adequate public kitchen and bar along with cafe on site. A quick 15 minute ride on the tram to get to the center. Tram stops right outside of hostel. Beds were comfortable and not the kind that squeak with each toss and turn. Heating worked great in my room. Showers/toilets were nice would take about 5 minutes to really get hot but once they did it was perfect. Each bed has a charging box near the bed along with personal reading light. Overall the place feels more like a hotel and less like a hotel. I appreciate the 12pm check out. Some hostels have a 10am check out which is inconvenient at times. Front desk staff was great. Always helpful and attentive. Main manager did a great job at his job. He truly cares and you can tell. My favorite was Theresa though. She was always a joy to greet in the morning, helpful and overall just very friendly. Thank you Theresa for helping make my stay in Prague a nice one.…
