The location of this hotel cannot be beaten - 5 mins walk (if that) to the Charles Bridge, 2 mins walk to John Lennon wall and plenty of nice bars and restaurants close by. Despite it's close proximity to many sights it is in a quiet and secluded part of town away from the hubbub of Charles Bridge and the...

From start to finish everybody was wonderfully helpful and nice. We got an early checkin and a very late check out to accommodate our late train ride. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Room was outstanding! Location was great. Walking to Charles bridge and many other sights. Really can't say enough about our stay!

For our first visit to Prague we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental. We just loved the hotel. We found the staff very welcoming, helpful and discreet without being overbearing. They were available when needed, and withdrew when they were not. The concierge helped us with our return journey by printing our boarding passes and booking us a taxi back to...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
