The hotel was very nice. The rooms were private and secure, with an adequate breakfast. But what makes this hotel stand out more than any other we have ever stayed at was the extraordinary customer service. We had a situation occur while we were staying in Prague that required us to make several phone calls back to the US and...

Just back from my first trip to Prague, loved it. Staying at the Red Chair was perfect ... I love to stay somewhere that's within walking distance of almost everything I'd want to see, and the Red Chair was perfect for that. Very close to all the sights of Old Town, yet a few blocks off the beaten path where...

We, and another couple, stayed three nights at the Red Chair Hotel during our visit to Prague. The hotel is wonderfully situated and within easy walking distance to all the historic sites of Prague. The staff is incredibly friendly and offers great recommendations on local restaurants and sites. The rooms were a little small; however, they were very clean and...

We stayed 5 days in Prague and the Red Chair Hotel was an excellent choice for our trip. The hotel is located in the middle of Old Town, which is very close to Charles Bridge and Old Town Square - less than 5 minutes walking distance. We got a room on the third floor which was perfect for us, the...

Stayed there for a 4 days city tour. Our experience was very positive. The hotel has excellent location right in the historical center, still a bit away from the noise, with well equipped rooms, clean and comfort. The hotel is being run with family style. The staff is extremely friendly and caring.

We had a great 4 night stay at the Red Chair Hotel in early May. The location of the hotel can't be beat -- it's on a quiet street just a few blocks from the Old Town Square. Breakfast is included in the price and consists mostly of breads, jams, cereal, yogurt, cheese, meat slices, and coffee and juices. We...

I stayed at the Red Chair Hotel in Prague for a weekend. First thing to note is that location is excellent. Walking distance to all the great sites of Prague, and yet quiet at night. My room was very spacious and clean. Only problem was that I had to go up the stairs 3 floors. But it was not a...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
