You really can't go wrong with a hotel that serves the best beer in the world in its basement. On top of it, the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The reception staff was also very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay hassle free - not always easy with a 1.5 year old....

First trip to Prague and very lucky to book a room at the Lokal Inn. It is ideally located very close to the Charles Bridge and the river banks, not pretentious, real local feeling, attentive and helpful personnel, good breakfast and best fresh beer (even the taxi driver recommended it!). Young visitors loved it but families and couples too.

We loved our time here. A real Czech hotel that doesn't pretend to be anything else. Clean, damn good beer, attentive breakfast staff, caring people, good scrambled eggs with onions, beautiful suite (the ceiling is to die for), lively ambiance. But the best is the fact that it is only 20 seconds walk to Charles bridge.

The location of the Inn is amazing. It puts you just steps away from the Charles bridge. They have an enormous family suite that have us plenty of room to stretch out after sightseeing. The food is well priced and the beer is phenomenal (and cheap). The pub is always full of locals so it is quite clear that it...

We stayed here for 4 nights recently and were very much taken with the location - the Inn is literally 2 minutes from the Charles Bridge, meaning you're incredibly close to beautiful views and a short walk from the Old Town. The rooms in the Inn are pretty spacious with very large comfortable beds - we slept really well. Breakfast...

Excellent location round the corner from "the bridge", easy walk into town. Hotel restaurant very authentic with good food in good sizes and at good prices. Own beer which was delicious and cheap in contrast with its neighbours! Room was very roomy and comfortable. Well looked after at reception. Only positive things to say. Will return

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
