Loved that it was an easy walk to the centre. But the hot shower wasn't hot enough, and room heating hardly reached the bathroom. So it was quite cold when you step out. I'd have given 5 stars if not for this.Front desk was excellent!...More

Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town
or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

In the arrival lounge opposite a vodaphone shop there is a large square kiosk that sells tickets for the bus and metro in one ticket. Its by minutes and to get to the centre I paid the equivilent of about 1 euro 50 for 90 minutes which is more than enough to get you from the airport to any part of Prague. I took the number 119 bus just outside arrivals and it takes about 15 mins to the metro station, it´s the last stop so just follow everyone else to the metro station and from there you can go by metro to your hotel. It took me about 35 minutes. If you don´t have a lot of luggage it is a very cheap way of getting to and from the airport, You can also take the 100 bus that takes you to another metro line. As I as on the yellow line I took the 119.
