This hotel was a great find. The lobby is dated but the rooms are very large, modern and clean. We paid extra for the breakfast and were very pleased with the selection and quality of food. This hotel is about 1 block from the clock tower square and a bit further from the Charles Bridge. The only downside was having...

This hotel is well located in the heart of old Prague - a few steps from the expensive square and near 2 great market areas. The hotel is basic but our room was large, clean and quiet, facing the courtyard. AC worked great and we even had a wifi router in our room for super fast internet. Bathroom was quite...

I stayed at the Modra Ruze for the fourth time recently and will be back again later in the year. The hotel is really central, two minutes away from The Old Town Square and the staff are so nice and friendly. The rooms are spotless clean and the breakfast is lovely. There is nothing about this hotel that I don't...

We were really happy with this hotel! The room was very large (we were 3 people and had plenty of room to move, not one of those room entirely occupied by beds), the position is great and the personnel was so kind to us! They helped us booking restaurants, gave us information about train times... really, very kind! The place...

Had a very good experience with this hotel. The rooms were very big and clean. They also have one or few rooms available for disabled persons, you might need to ask when booking if you need one. There was a parking lot as promised, however it is quite difficult to get there, if you have a very big car it...

I stayed in this hotel for three nights with an educational group ,and was very pleased with the care and attention shown us by the lovely staff .Our students were provided every day with a sunny meeting room in which to eat breakfast( because of kosher dietary needs, they provided their own food) and also a room in which to...

We stayed at this hotel for a 4 day midweek break, it is classed as a 4* but some of it struggles to be 3*. The Hotel is in an excellent position in the Old Town part of Prague, only 2 minuets walk from most of Prague's attractions and shopping centre. A lot of the Hotel décor is in need...

Perfect for exploring Prague on foot. Whilst this could be classed as a "no frills" hotel in respect to decor and extras the service and attitude of all the staff is outstanding. Rooms are basic yet extremely clean and well maintained. Great for larger groups and less expensive versus larger chain hotels. The cafe downstairs is also fantastic for having...

This is a great hotel. The man at the desk is very welcoming and cheerful, and the rooms are large, clean, sunny, and have all the essentials for a great stay. The location cannot be beat - it is in the heart of the old town, a few blocks away from the main square with the famous astronomical clock. Considering...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
