My stay at Archibald City was pleasant surprise. Even though on a busy street, this modern building is equiped with all facilities to satisfy needs of today´s travellers. Getting room on 6th floor it was very quiet. Also spacious and comfortable, it was spotless. There was great variety of food at breakfast, serving ladies were filling up frequently supplies, young...

With the webs reviews already on the website about this hotel, I was worried until I got there. While it does not merit its 4/Star rating, the room was comfortable and very warm, indeed I had to have the window open at all times. Breakfast was good with a wide choice. Everything was going well until the last day, no...

Staff we rude and unhelpful, rooms were basic, small and damp. Air con system would not turn off. The location was brilliant - but other than that I do not reccomend for anyone maybe better for a business trip for maxium of one night.

The location is great, but the room is small and the heating doesn't work. Also, in 2 mornings we didn't have warm water. Thus we spoke with the staff regarding the heating, they resolve the problem (give us a radiator) only after we said that we go to another hotel. The breakfast is great. the staff isn't friendly.

I stayed here for 2 nights in January 2010. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the main centre of Prague so easily accessible from the metro with a suitcase. The room was comfortable, large and clean. There was a good selection of food available for breakfast and the reception area had four computers available for guest use, so...

I would recommend staying in archibald city, the room was great value for money, breakfast was pretty much what i expected (limited 'english breakfast', salami, ham, cheese, croissantss, bread rolls, cereal) definitly something for even the most fussy of eaters. Rooms were fairly large, and clean. The only downside is that there are only 2 floors of non smoker rooms,...

We stayed here for 3 nights arriving on the saturday and leaving on tuesday morning. At check in we were told that breakfast was every day from 7-11am. Sunday morning we came down at around 9.30am and after searching for a table which was clean we sat down and had our breakfast, selection was good, however the bread was a...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
