Just stayed 2 nights at 987 & we cannot fault it. Great night sleep, good shower, excellent breakfast (set us up for a day of sightseeing), good location, friendly staff, free wifi & found a great Czech bar just round the corner. Wished we'd booked to stay another night!

Good location and a modern, hip design makes this a pleasant stay. The room we had (a junior suite through a "honeymoon" deal -although it wasnt our honeymoon) was spacious and light. The bathroom was very dark (not enough spot lights) and for reasons unknown to me, they had placed the sink outside the bathroom. The promised chamapagne (part of...

My friends and I stayed at the 987 Design Hotel this past february, and had just had a wonderful time in Paris, so expectations were high. The hotel did NOT disappoint us AT ALL. It was a WONDERFUL experience to stay there, as the staff was helpful and spoke perfect English, the bartender was our nightly source for information as...

987 Design is located very close to the main Train Station in Prague (a 7min walk over a small park). We travelled in from the airport on the AE (Airport Express) for .50p each! The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful and knowledgeable on the area. The city is quite small - so very easy to walk round...

My husband and I recently stayed at 987 Prague during our first visit to the city. The location was ideal for exploring Prague if you don't mind a little walking. We preferred walking to public transit, the square and charles bridge were about 15 minutes from hotel. If you take express shuttle from airport the hotel is across from train...

Although it is considered a city centre hotel- don't think that you will walk less than 20 minutes to reach the old town square (this is the centre) and about 15min to Wesqlass Sq. Count CZK120 for taxi (at least once a day) and in case you go again out for dinner or club/bar and you need taxi to go...

Waking up to the smell of cigarette smoke filling your room is sickening, to make it even worse is that when you get to the breakfast room, people are smoking everywhere!!! The hotel was I suppose hip and cool at some stage but it's currently tired and need an urgent soft refurb. The breakfast area every morning was dirty with...

This hotel is very nice, is centrally located, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived and they helped carry our bags in and parked our car in the garage. The room was very nice, the bed was comfy, and the shower was awesome (hot weather + great water pressure). The breakfast in the morning was amazing...there is...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
