We've just returned from 3 nights at this hotel. We arrived on the Friday teatime and the very friendly reception staff were expecting us and showed us directly to our room. We were in a double room (#10) on the 2nd floor which you either take the small lift to or the stairs which we preferred. The room was basic...

We walked from the train station to this hotel in about 25 minutes because the taxis in Prague a plagued by a bad reputation. Had it not been for our GPS we would have never found it. It is 5 minutes from one of the main attractions - the Charles Bridge. The pension is in an older (400 years old)...

Just a hop step and a jump from Charles Bridge in one direction and Old Town Square in the other, this friendly pension can't be beaten for location and excellent value. Travelling alone it provided a cosy, family atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. Included breakfast was good and other meals were basic but well priced, as was the...

We enjoyed eating lunch here. We ordered two delicious pizzas: Hawaiian pizza and the pizza with ham, mushroom, mozzarella and tomato. Both pizzas were 165 CZK each. Each pizza would be enough for two people. There was a no smoking area that we appreciated as well. The waiter was really friendly and it was a cute place. I would eat...

I happened to have stumbled upon this pension while trying last minute to find a place to stay. It was the cheapest I could find near any of the tourist areas. It turned out to be perfect! The rooms are nice and the staff is very accommodating!!! The free breakfast isn't a large selection but more than adequate to get...

Pension u Lilie is in a great location, less than a 5 minute walk from the Charles Bridge and just a bit further from the Old Town Square. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the neighborhood seemed very safe. The hotel was neat and clean and the staff was helpful and spoke English well. They have free...

Very good location to stay in Prague. It is a second time we stayed here and we will stay again. Very cheap place if you are on budget with professional, friendly and English-speaking staff. Just to minutes from famous Charles bridge

Stayed here for 3 nights. We were on the 3rd (top) floor, but the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor. Two of the staff members carried our bags up which was very helpful and kind of them. Our room was very charming, small but functional and very clean. The bathroom was very small, we were able to borrow a...

Pension U Lilie is a five minute stroll to the Charles Bridge and other delights of Prague's Old Town. We were a group of friends in our 60s but all ages and nationalities were staying there. The beds are more comfortable than average and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is not cooked but consists of a lot of...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
