My wife & I stayed for 2 nights. Room was basic, single lightbulb, shabby furniture, no shower & a bug in the bathroom. No safe & TV didn't work. Breakfast was very basic..breads, lunch meat, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs. 2 star room in the U.S.

Good things first - We had room 5 which was large and spacious and quiet too, and the bed was comfortable and modern. Furniture in good condition. Good Wi-Fi, and free. Lots of hot water, and it really was hot. Room was well heated - in fact we had to turn the heating off, despite the fact that there was...

Perfect location, great price, small elevator, strip bar and pizza joint right across the street! The timber room in the loft is the best, sleeps three! Restaurant looked nice, but I didn't eat there. Breakfast was included.

The U Lilie is conveniently located and reasonably priced. We were able to walk to so many important landmarks and hotspots but still enjoy a quiet drink on the patio as if we were far away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. We were able to drop off...

The location of this place couldn't be better, we were continuously surprised with how close it was to all the main and not-so-main sights. It's clean and simple, the rooms basic but comfortable with large beds. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The only down side is the breakfast which was just a little too basic and lacking in...

As a solo traveler, this is a safe, no-frills and very central place to stay. The location is perfect, just around the corner from Charles Bridge and a couple of minutes away from Old Town. Basically, if you love walking you can walk to just about all the main sights from here. Rooms are basic and minimal, but quite frankly...

This was a very Pleasant place to stay in Prague. It has a wonderful location so close to Charles Bridge and also close to the Old Town Square - ideal for staying out late to enjoy the night life of Prague. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and, while not being sumptuous, the breakfast was more than adequate. The...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
