Having booked the hotel after seeing it advertised in the budget hotels section in the AA citypack guide to Prague and checking reviews on tripadvisor, we were not disappointed when we arrived for our 4 night stay. The price for our room included an en-suite bathroom and breakfast. There was also free wifi throughout the hotel, a free safe in...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The Hastal Hotel is probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in throughout Europe! The staff is always willing to assist the guests and to do all they can to make sure the stay in Prague is enjoyable. As one of the clerks told us, they try to treat each guest as if they were family! And we certainly...

The hotel is located exceptionally well: very close to the most important town attractions and at the same time in a quiet place. Enough parking slots just in front of the hotel. The personnel is very friendly and attentive to all requests. We enjoyed the apartment we stayed together with my wife and 17 years old daughter. And the breakfast...

The linens were very nice. The pillows were down. The mattresses are comfortable. The bathrooms were recently redone. Great restaurants close by. We liked nostress and home kitchen. Two blocks from the Spanish synagogue. Breakfast buffet had lots of grilled vegetables, fried rice, salad, and bananas for the gluten free/vegan.

Had booked the hotel basis the great reviews it carried on TripAdvisor. Was disappointed with the hotel set-up, room & total lack of ventilation in the hotel rooms. What you need to understand is that this is an Old Hotel. We were there on a warm day, and the room was stuffy, and the AC did not help. Overall the...

Enjoyed 3 wonderful nights in Hotel Hastal; our first time in Prague. The location was simply superb, a quieter street in the old town area. We walked everywhere, from site seeing to restaurants, to the town square and music venues; all so close. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful every time we came and went; our room clean and...

We stayed in Hotel Hastal for three days in mid-April and found it absolutely delightful. The hotel is decorated in a lovely 1930's style (but the bathroom was thoroughly modern), which made it much more interesting than the usual "cookie-cutter" hotel decor. Breakfast was actually more like brunch, with a variety of excellent food. The location was perfect -- on...

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town last month. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the old town square. The room and breakfast were terrific. Eva, at reception, was very helpful and looked after us well. We loved the free glass of wine each night. We will be recommending this hotel to all...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our visit to Prague in late March 2017. I found the hotel to be dated and a bit creepy. Wifi was slow, the breakfast buffet could be improved, but the greatest flaw is that there is NO soundproofing of the rooms (eventhough they advertise soundproofing in the hotel's description). On the...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
