We couldn’t have been more delighted with our choice of hotel in Prague! Although our first impressions of the foyer were that it was a bit dark, the rest of the hotel, and our room in particular, was light and very spacious. The high ceiling with chandelier gave a sense of opulence to the room and there was ample room...

Very friendly staff. Good hotel, but not deserve five stars. I would give it a four star. Very near the old town square and the Powder Tower. And you can choice between a variety of medieval restaurants nearby.

We did not realize how close we were to the old square until we checked in to our suite and opened the windows and saw the Clock Tower! Yet we were far away from the late night noise. The suite had high ceilings and ornate but with all the modern comforts. The hotel had a glass elevator that looked really...

Amazing location in Prague. It was our first visit to this fascinating city and what a treat to stay here. Our room and bathroom were huge and very clean and comfortable. I loved the glass lift in the centre of the circular stairs. The breakfasts were a little disappointing but that did not detract from our stay. There was slight...

I booked this hotel through booking.com for 7 nights from 29th June 2012 in a twin room (room 39 on the 3rd floor). Friday/Saturday nights cost 5144.15 CZK and Sunday-Thursday nights cost 4523.75 CZK. I would summarise this by saying it is large but not quite 5*. I'll start with the negative points. I realise I am being a bit...

There is nothing we could fault about the Ventana... Perfect location. Warm welcome and attention to detail (including a complementary bottle of bubbly brought to our room to celebrate my partner's birthday without even asking!!!)... The breakfast was abundant and well varied. All the staff were friendly and accomodating at all times of the day. Our only regret was that...

Stayed at the Ventana 17th - 21st June. It is a boutique 5 star with 29 rooms and has an understated opulence. This is enhanced by the friendly efficiency of the staff all of whom spoke good English and were always willing to help with tips and advice. The De Luxe room on the top floor was a 2 storey...

Was in Prague for the weekend from 8th june till 11th june. Arriving at this hotel already gave me a wonderful feeling, its in the middle of the old town only like 30 meters away from the square. Altough alot of tourists passing by you dont hear any sound from outside. I had a lovely view at the church while...

The location of this 5 star hotel can't be better - right next to the back of the Tyn Church at the old town square, and sharing the same building as the Swarovski jewellery shop. Rooms are big with double glazed windows so you get really good sleep on the quality mattress and quilt. I had a huge room with...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

“Room category above basicis best value (with wardrobes). There's a slight noise factor, but it is a lively place right off the square.”
  • Room 23 - we had moved chairs so we both could 'people watch' on the street below.
  • Room 23, just opposite the rear of Tyn Church.
