Amazing hostel. The staff are really friendly. Stayed there with 3 friends for 5 nights. There are night time as well as day time activities planned throughout the week, so you won't get bored. Free family style dinner every night (at least when I stayed there) as well as a cheap breakfast (diverse enough to cater for most type of...

This was a great hostel! The family dinner and activities they have planned every day make it really easy to connect with people and make friends. The hostel is in a cute apartment type building and the rooms are very spacious. They recommended a great walking tour company that made my time in Prague really great. Bathrooms were clean and...

We stayed here for four nights over NYE as that is the minimum stay required by the hostel, unfortunately it also means it was very very expensive. We booked at the end of October but the hostel was already fairly booked out so we stayed in an 8 share mixed dorm (would not do again as the room smelt awful)....

My sister and I stayed here for 5 days over the Christmas Holiday and really loved it. They pretty much cover every base: the location is excellent, really close to the old town; generally clean. They offer daily activities including free "family dinners" followed by optional drinking games and pub crawl/club nights. Overall though the best part of this hostel...

Sorry for the late review but was just talking about Prague and how great the hostel was and I realised I'd never reviewed it (was ! Turning up and finding the place was easy... very different to Budapest and previous places but certainly worth a visit. The highlight for me was the cave bar downstairs and friendly staff. We got...

Really open atmosphere. Plenty of space to hang out and get to know other people. Events all week long. Clean hostel, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again next time I'm in Prague!

I was traveling alone after a conference, and I booked with Hostel One Home because the reviews boasted a really friendly and welcoming environment. Those reviews are spot on! The hostel is run by fellow travelers who are staying in Prague more long term. They cook up a family dinner every night, followed by drinking games, and a night out....

Added another night to our stay to enjoy the hostel, staff and other guests a little more. Nicest hostel layout I've seen with big common areas and excellent beds. Free dinners, great social activities both day and night - can't be beat!

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
