Stayed here for a long weekend break in May. Although I knew the hotel was on a hill that did not bother me at all. The views from the back of the hotel to the castle were wonderful. The staff were so accomodating. The breakfast choice was fantastic. I have read many reviews on Trip Advisor and this hotel exceeds...

We just returned from an unreal stay to Prague. We picked the Golden Wheel as we read the reviews on Trip Advisor. Thank God for frip advisor as they were right one. The Hotel was beautiful. Very large rooms and great bathrooms. Our view was unreal as we were right under the Castle. The other reviews are correct as there...

It is a good hike up Nerudova Street to The Golden Wheel, but well worth the climb. Easter Week in Prague is very busy. Nerudova Street is the main path to Prague Castle, and busy during the day, but a quiet retreat in the evening. You must "storm" the castle at night when it is eerily quiet and beautiful. The...

This is a great hotel if you are looking for a friendly, comfortable place to stay in Prague. The receptionist, Tereza, was wonderful and made our stay very pleasant and informative. We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the street. The street side had a great view and the windows opened out so you could view the...

This hotel cost a bit more than I typically pay but I am so glad I did. The location was great - just below the castle. The room itself was very spacious for European standards and it was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was included in the cost of the hotel and i was more than satisfied with the quality...

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are large, clean, with all the amenties you will need. Also, with there only being 17 rooms it is a very quiet hotel. Location is perfect, it is 5 mins from St Nicolas Church and about 10 mins walk to the castle, monestary and Charles Bridge....

Great hotel that lives up to all the positive reviews. Front counter staff are great and try really hard to please. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Therese was great with our concert arrangements and has a lovely manner. We stayed in room 101 which had a street view not a castle view but still a great room with a...

It’s all true. We stayed at the Golden Wheel for seven nights over Christmas and found it as appealing as all the reports would indicate. The hotel is very well located (if you don’t mind climbing hills). You walk up to the Castle or the Loreto or the Strahov Monastery or the Petrin orchards and down to the Charles Bridge...

Stayed for a long weekend in late November. Smart hotel in an excellent location close to the Castle and less than 10 minutes to the Charles Bridge. Hotel was modern and clean, with a good breakfast and very helpful staff. Hotel was in a relatively quiet location, but close to some good restarants and a short walk from bars. Was...

Just returned from a very pleasent city trip to Prague. I would very much recommend this hotel. It is located in a quiet street, which is highly appreciated at night. The rooms were great and clean. Breakfast was great with a great selection of cold and hot food. Staff was also great. Free internet was higly appreciated. The only downside...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
