..Stayed there for one night only, but, as much as it looks humble, people who work there - did their best. Very nice and friendly stuff. the room was comfortable, spacious, gave a good sleeping time. Location is great. And - as a smoker - i liked the fact, that - while waiting at the reception- you can have a...

After having read all the reviews, me and my boyfriend really hesitated to stay in this hostel, but we decided to give it a try. The location is perfect (it is absolutely close to all the touristic points of interest), the rooms are huge and the staff is really kind (we didn't see any scary woman, we were greeted by...

Me and my partner stayed here as we planned to live here. When we arrived we were greeted by the scariest woman. The reception was covered in smoke. We were directed to a lift that looked like it was ready to break - the lift went into darkness and 2 minutes later we were lead to an underground floor which...

At first was a little hesitant to book this hostel for me and my boyfriend for the Easter weekend after reading the reviews.. But, for the great location (very easy to get from the airport) and the price I thought i would give it a go. Booked a double ensuite and when we got there we were very surprised ........

If you want to stay in a hotel, then STAY IN A HOTEL. This place gives all the basic amenities and comfy beds for a very good price. After reading the previous reviews i was terrified of what was waiting for me in Prague but the place provided pretty much everything we could need. Those with very high standards should...

This hostel compares with a run down Motel 6. If I were 20 again, I probably would find it acceptable. Our reservation was misplaced, and we were given a room half the size promised, yet despite efforts to negotiate a reduction in price, we were left with a "take it or leave it" shrug of the shoulders. All the lobby...

We reserved for the night of May 17, 2006 what was described in Le Papillon's email correspondence as a "double apartment with private bathroom and kitchenette". This turned out to be only a very small room where there was insufficient floor space to have 2 persons open their suitcases at the same time. It would be more appropriate and less...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
