Went here for a quick beer. We had to walk through several rooms and floors to find a table. It took the waiter a while to get to our table and longer to get our beers. We also ordered food, which wasn't all that great nor worth the money. Overall not a good experience. There are plenty of other bars...

Great location, friendly staff, spacious room with THE MOST comfortable bed, great beer. Very good value for money. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a centrally located hotel, without being right in the middle of town.

Me and my partner decided to go here for dinner as the it looked very nice. We walked in and there was nobody to greet us or ask for a table. We waited about 5 minutes and was ignored by a waiter twice, so we decided to go up to the bar man and ask for a table. He told...

Location of the hotel is excellent! Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby and is within easy walking distance of all the main sights. We were extremely pleased with our room. Bed was huge as was the room itself. Room and bathroom were both very clean and of great standard. Beer toiletries were a nice touch. Surprisingly quiet considering it...

If i wanted to be picky there are things I could complain about - toiletries and toilet paper weren't replenished daily, bathroom was a bit outdated, the sofa bed was broken and it's mattress sagged (despite trying to repair it daily0, wifi was 'edgy' , only one cup with the kettle and no tea bags - it wasn't perfect but...

Stayed here in a group of 3 in one of the larger rooms. Not modern but absolutely perfect and functions fine including the shower. Very welcoming with the local beer on arrival. Breakfast very good apart from the day we almost missed it from getting up late as not much left, but probably our own fault. Very welcoming throughout the...

The hotel is nice, definitely a good value. The breakfast included with the room rate was nice, included fresh crepes, three different kinds of eggs, sausages, cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, etc... Daily maid service, comfortable beds, 24hr reception, in-room wi-fi, great location for Old Town, Charles Bridge, and Wenceslas square. We also enjoyed eating at the restaurant at the hotel....

As a student studying out in Brno, I was just excited to come see my family. This hotel made me excited to be back in Prague. A ten minute walk (at most) from the Old Town Square and perfectly located, we all enjoyed ourselves. Of course, there were a couple odd instances where my mother heard her name be called...

The hotel is extremely old, and the micro-brewery side of the business (which even means the shampoo and shower gel are beer cosmetics) claims fifteenth century origins. But this means quirky rather than fusty. If you want luxury then this is not a good bet. But rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained. Mine had ample storage, though no arm...

Great location, close to lots of tourist sights. Room was huge, but the pillows were terrible too soft & fluffy, for me, when I asked for another pillow I was made to feel I was asking for the moon! I did get one eventually but they should realise that not everyone wants a soft fluffy pillow, nor only one. We...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

The Hotel U Medvidku Brewery is situated in a 15th century house, and original historical components, such as Gothic trusses and painted timber ceilings, have been preserved in some rooms. The hotel includes a traditional Prague pub with typical Czech cuisine, a beer bar with a wide selection of Czech beer, shop offering beer and brewery souvenirs and a congress hall. The mini-brewery is biggest attraction for our guests. It makes the STRONGEST BEER in the world, XBEER-33, using historical technology.
