Super location, right in the center of the city, behind the astronomical clock! good wi-fi and clean rooms, a nice breakfast, the only minus is the absence of an elevator for the older people, but if you're staying at 1st floor then you're good! Very nice staff. Near to the hotel is the main street, it's haven for a good shopping,... More

We enjoyed our stay at hotel melantrich. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were nice, big and clean. The breakfast was good for the price you pay. The only thing that wasnt really good were the pillows. The hotel is located very well, right in the old town and nearby the clock with the apostels. There is a market... More

Location of the hotel is perfect. It is very close to main attractions and right next to the Havelska Market (which is a permanent market where you can find various goods). The staff is really friendly and helpful and speaks English very well. They were nice enough to call a driver for us to help us get to the airport.... More

The Hotel is located in the hard of old city. The rooms arent big, but really good. The breakfast is excellent. The only disadvantage is leak of elevator, but the hotel is located on the second floor, so the issue isnt critical.

I have stayed at Hotel Melantrich from 15th to 19th december 2015. Two of my collegues have stayed here and they told me good things about it. Melantrich hotel location is perfect. You can access christmas markets and many sightseeing places very fast. We had room 37 which was on a third floor and that wasnt an issue for us and it was the "quiet" room. Breakfast was ok and fulfilling. Hotel personnel was helpful and service was good. Room was very basic but felt comfortable. Now... More

The hotel staff are very friendly and breakfast was very good for a budget hotel, however the entrance is not very welcoming very dull and dingly looks like entry to flats or businesses, two flights of grey concrete steps to get to the hotel entrance. The hotel itself although very clean is very dated and the rooms are basic. I... More

This was a perfect location for visiting the Christmas Markets and sightseeing. As mentioned in another post there is no lift to get up to the hotel. It is also a bit tricky to find; but well worth it to stay in this great location. It is in a perfect location just minutes from all the sights. The breakfast was... More

A basic hotel, with limited facilities, however it was spotlessly clean, with a very nice continental style breakfast. The staff were all very welcoming especially Iva, and the location, just 200 metres from Old Town Square could not be better. The addition of coffee making facilities in the room is needed, otherwise this is the ideal hotel for a short... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
