The room is a dated period set piece that reflects the history of Prague. The up side is that it is so central to Town Square and the Charles Bridge which is only 100 m away at the end of a very lively street, so for the short stay you do not need local transport. The reception staff are superbly...

The room was OK, slightly worn. Cleaning impeccable, but the biiiig problem was that the smell of cigarette smoke. As the hotel is on top of a night club, smoke was so disturbing that se har trouble sleeping. Reception staff was so nice to us but that didn't help the situation. Great location, though.

The first thing to mention about this hotel would be that it is very easy to walk straight past the entrance as it is quite understated! Upon entering the building it became apparent that there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, an all-night club in the basement and the hotel is located on the upper floors. The...

Very easy access to most historic sites but not close to public transport. Typical of many old European hotels there is no elevator, it was 75 steps up to our room. We had no issues with a smoke smell in our room, room was clean and quiet. Breakfast selections were good and plentiful, staff was helpful and brought our luggage...

We had a short stay in Prague and wanted to be right in the center of everything so we could easily walk to all of our destinations! We did not eat at the restaurant so I have no info there (I did get some gelato from the stand attached to the restaurant that was very good!). Our room was quiet...

The most welcoming of receptionists, young Petra, was very helpul in several instances & eg. printed out our boarding passes for the return flights! Porterage by David was quick & very efficiently organised,( despite awkward stairs to our upper storey room.) Ours had a small lobby & quiet situation at back of hotel with a good bathroom & toilet en-suite,...

Second time i stayed at this hotel, and it's stil good. Good, but small rooms. A bit hot during summer due to no aircon, but had a fan. OK breakfast, and a nightclub in the basement. No noise from the nightclub can be heard at all, so that is ok. And u have free entry as a guest at the...

I didn't expect any. Let alone all. It is above a rather huge (but very clean and very safe) nightclub but the rooms (off the street) are very quiet. We had room 44 and the only noise we heard were the birds. Room 3 (a traveling friend has that room, it faced the street and was loud). The staff was...

Stayed 3 nights with girlfriend. Room was smallish but bed was big. Quite hot in the room, but you could open window. Ours lead right to roof and with windows open there was no sound of street or music in our room. Good clean bathroom, with walk-in shower that had rain and massage options. Breakfast was standard, coffee good. Location...

We stopped here after looking to find other places but finally our hunger got the best of us. Service was good, but as I was to discover with most of the Czech Republic and Poland, not really what I'd classify as friendly. We had goulash and dumplings, both of which were very good and satisfied our hunger pains. Pretty reasonably...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
