Hotel Metamorphis is a delight. More studio apartment than hotel. Spacious, clean, quiet and great location. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed 5 nights. The hotel staff speak great English and are a great help with taxis, finding places to go, and making us feel welcome. Walking distance to most sights. I would definitely go back for hopefully a...

Charming hotel with old fashioned, spacious rooms, tall ceilings and updated bathrooms. Close to everything. Right behind the Tyn church which is off the central town square. Delicious breakfast in the lower level of the Vabene restaurant. The hotel has two parts separated by an alley, we stayed in the section by the Vabene restaurant which has an elevator to...

The good: 1. The location was outstanding, just a short walk from old town square. 2. Breakfast was great, plenty of hot options like eggs, omelettes, sausage, and bacon. Also a good selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses, and good coffee. 3. The double windows (not double pane/glazed, but 2 complete sets of windows, one exterior, one interior) keep the...

Our room had an old European charm with wood floors and a large room overlooking the square. The breakfast included was in a 12th century cellar nicely decorated. The hotel room was off a square and not far from the town square.

First off, this hotel's best feature is the location! Absolutely incredible location in the old section of Prague. The old charm of this hotel is fabulous, and we loved the place. We had a very large room and a very large, private balcony on the interior courtyard with great views of one of the old large churches. Everything is walk-able...

We had a very good spacious and clean room. I would definitely stay here again but would probably ask for a room not on the main road as the bars are very noisy and go on well into the night. Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and tried to fit in so much each day that when we...

We stayed here three nights in early September. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space. The location is excellent being a short walk to the old square. The people at the reception desk spoke very good English and were very helpful. The AC worked great. The only problem, which is somewhat out of their control, is that their...

The hotel is part of a small historic square which was the center of commerce during Prague's early days. Just steps away from the Old Town Square, it is the perfect location for tourists because it is within walking-distance to most of the city's places of interest. Unfortunately, that convenience comes with a price. Prague is a common and cheap...

We spent two nights here during a Rick Steves tour. Excellent staff. Nice breakfast setup. Large room that had a VERY NICE bathroom that had a great shower with lots of water pressure and a nice separate tub. Central location with lots to see and do nearby. Only regret that in room coffee machine was not free.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
