This is a good property and is huge. It has a few sections however when we checked in air-conditioning in some of the rooms was not working. The rooms are of decent size are clean. Overall a decent stay.
Stayed for two nights on business. Fascinating building - I felt as if I had stepped in a Smiley novel. Interesting to stay away from the tourist centre, but you walk to the castle in 30mins if you wish. Room good size, clean and comfortable....More

Both times we stayed we had stocked mini bars. No bad smells and rooms were clean. Staff politeness can be a mixed bag but most were friendly. To respond to the comment "why are you staying there?" It is a very significant historic building with unique artworks and has very good local pubs near it that are much cheaper than the city centre. It is well served by trams and next to a great little whisky bar. Do not be put off.
