This hotel does everything from the smallest thing right up to the main things fantastically well. On arrival the receptionist was extremely friendly despite it being early hours of the morning and showed us to our room which was in the adjacent building. The hotel thought of everything from the shoe cleaners to the free to use umbrellas every detail...

The staff at the Hotel Pod Vezi could not have been more friendly or helpful. Upon arrival we were provided with details of our room and the hotel facilities, a map of the city, suggested areas to visit, and the option to get a free voucher for the nearby Charles Bridge Tower. During our stay we tried to book a...

Had a lovely weekend at Hotel Pod Vezi. Conveniently located right near Charles Bridge in the Lesser Quarter. It's a short walk over to Old Town and the Jewish Quarter and right on the foothills of the Castle. We stayed in the second building of the hotel. Room was perfect, lots of space, comfy bed and a Nespresso machine was...

What a fantastic hotel this is. First of all I would recommend booking their driver from the airport. Even though our flight was delayed he was right there waiting for us and he provided a very entertaining journey into town. The location of the hotel is unbelievable, it is practically sitting on Charles Bridge. This gave my wife some cause...

We are just returning from a three night stay in Prague at the Hotel Pod Vezi. We arrived late due to a delayed flight but were still greeted by a delightful transfer driver (arranged by the hotel) who gave us a helpful overview of sights and weather on the way to or hotel. Our check-in was easy and the staff...

Just back from 3 night stay in Hotel Pod Vezi. The location could not have been better right next to Charles bridge and the room was still very quiet. Staff couldn't do enough for us with daily complimentary treats being brought to the room completely unexpectedly. Great hotel, lovely staff, excellent location.

Despite its location smack in what may be the busiest tourist area in Prague, our room was quiet. The room was also pretty and comfortable and the staff was outstanding, helping us several times with questions about nearby venues and restaurants. Normally, I don't eat where I sleep when traveling, but I must say the breakfasts, lunch and dinner we...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
