This boutique hotel was fabulous. First, the staff was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We arrived on the evening of my birthday, but I didn’t say anything. The next day room service came up with a bottle of champagne. My husband and I took it to the lovely rooftop terrace to enjoy it. The restaurant at the hotel was fantastic. Each night we capped the evening with some spirits and the chef’s wonderful soufflé. The room was a very good size and housekeeping left of a surprise treat each day. When we come back, we will definitely stay at the hotel. We were walking distance to everything, steps from the Charles Bridge, yet our room was very quiet.
We stayed there from August 18-20, 2021. The location of the hotel is perfect at the end of the Charles Bridge. I was concerned about noise so asked for a quiet room and we got that. The whole hotel was exactly perfect for English speakers, almost everyone we encountered spoke English. The desk was helpful in booking cars to the Airport and organizing a walking tour with guide. We have had great success booking small boutique Hotels based on TripAdvisor reviews in Paris, Athens and Venice. This trip was no different. Our room was exceptionally big for Europe as well as for the money and quiet as we requested. The restaurant was fantastic for lunch when we arrived, for the included breakfast and for drinks in the evening. I would go back in a heartbeat.
I don't even know where to begin. First, I have never written a review of anything but Pod Vezi was so amazing I want to share it with the world. The hotel is lovely and charming with a spectacular view. The staff was helpful before my arrival and felt like family while I was there. Their recommendations were always amazing and they greeted me with a smile every time I saw any of them. When I needed some help to conduct a conference call for work during my stay they jumped through hoops to help me and then asked me how the call went. A wonderful wonderful small hotel. I can't say enough good things.
We stayed here for several nights in July and can't say enough wonderful things about it. The décor in the entire hotel is warm and inviting. The room (#33) was enormous, with a separate dressing area, and positively spotless. Furnishings, linens, and carpet looked, felt, and smelled clean. There is even a doorbell at the room, with a very pleasant ring. In one corner stood a tall oscillating fan, a very nice touch. The bathroom fixtures, floor, and linens were immaculate. Towels were clean, soft, fluffy, and very absorbent. There was a great assortment of toiletry items if you forget. There is a wall-mounted heating fixture for bath towels. The shower was not large, but big enough, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Good lighting in the bathroom too, and a separate switch for the vent so it doesn't turn on unless you want it to. The housekeeping staff left tasty sweets including delicious, butter-rich Linzer cookies and delectable chocolates. Bed, pillows, and linens were perfect for a great night's sleep after sightseeing beautiful Prague. The room was exceptionally quiet, too, so nothing interfered with blissful dreaming. You can't ask for a better location that this. Mere meters from the west end of the Charles Bridge, it's the perfect spot for exploring Prague on foot. It's a pleasant walk up the hill to Prague Castle as well as strolling across the Charles Bridge to discover all that the Old Town offers (which is plenty!) You won't need a vehicle unless you're heading farther out of this part of Prague because of this ideal location. The breakfast selection was large, appetizing, artfully displayed, and included delicious breads, fruits, vegetables, cold cereals, meats, fresh waffles, and lots more. Breakfast seating is out on the patio or indoors. Coffee is prepared individually as each guest requests, and the attention to detail and care that the staff puts into the breakfast, like everything else, is evident. But even a hotel this wonderful would be nothing without great employees. Pod Vezi has an entire staff of fabulous people. From the moment we checked in until the early-morning departure too few days later, every single staff member we talked to provided friendly and professional help. Each person impressed us with their sincere desire to make our stay the most magical vacation possible. Two young men at reception went out of their way to ensure our Bucket List trip was one we will remember the rest of our lives. Jan and Radek went above and beyond what could be called good service. They provided extraordinary help, laughs, and great Prague recommendations and reservations every single day. For the first time in quite a while, we felt genuinely welcomed, like friends instead of clients. They deserve to be commended. One last thing. A reasonable price for such a hotel could easily exceed $400 a night. We were shocked by the incredible value of Pod Vezi. If we are ever lucky enough to return to this lovely city, we will stay here again.…
What a wonderful stay! Everything from the check in process to the check out was great. The staff was more than helpful in giving an advise haw to make the best of my 4 days stay. They offered to make reservations for me and made several phone calls on my behalf. My room was very spacious and clean. I really enjoyed the hotel's restaurant as well. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. Thank you foe making my stay special and unique!
