The hotel is in a perfect location. You can't ask for a better and a more convenient location to stay. Yet, it is tucked away from the main street. The beautiful garden is right next door and Prague Castle is very close. The room was very spacious, but old. The staff was helpful. We stayed there on our mini vacation....

After reviewing the hotel website and reading reviews, we booked a stay of 14 nights. The first night of our arrival, we were put in a room on the side of main hotel but were told we would get a better room the next day. The room was cramped, dark, smelled musty and the bathroom was tiny and outdated. The...

We stayed there for a weekend and I liked the Hotel a lot. The location is great, the rooms are comfortable and I liked the historical charme. The breakfast was okay, even if you are vegetarien you will find enought to eat. The staff was very friendly and you can park in front of the hotel for 18€ per night....

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with TV and well stocked mini-bar.Not to forget free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful.Breakfast is the only meal available here but there are plenty of top qualtiy...

Clean and nice hotel with good thick walls to keep one cool from the Summer heat. Easy walking distance to centre and right side of town for airport connections. Why does this have to be at least 200 characters Tripadvisor?

This a hotel when you priorities are breakfast, good location, cleans rooms where to sleep. We were so happy to pick this Hotel because took us short walks to every place, travel by subways and trams with out problems. Left in the morning come back in the afternoon to take a nap for and hour and go back to our...

This hotel is very central. Its located next to the Senate of Czech Republic so the area is pretty safe, its guarded with police nearly all the time. So parking your car (extra fee you can pay at hotel) is safe here. Its a nice 10-15 minute walk to Old Town in Prague, which is the place where most things...

I booked this hotel based on recommendations on tripadvisor and frankly, this was the first time I was really disappointed. I am not sure where all the positive reviews come from. The hotel is definitely not cheap but it did look like a good price for a 4 star place. Unfortunately, it definitely was not a 4 star experience. The...

Excellent location - just a short stroll from the Charles Bridge but in a lovely, quiet street. The Waldstein is a beautiful old building with rooms arranged around a central courtyard. Our rooms had been upgraded to deluxe suites - 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and in one a small kitchen area. This is the only hotel I have been to where...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
