I stayed with my family (total of 5) at Hotel Esplanade Prague and all of us think the hotel, rooms, staff and room service are impeccable! The hotel is gorgeous and magnificent with it's old style and modern touches. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff and the room service are welcoming and very accommodating. This was our first hotel on our tour of Central Europe with OATS. We were not expecting to be in such a nice hotel. The rooms were fine although the shower was very small so that you could hardly turn around or bend over. The staff were all friendly and would greet you when you passed them and were willing...

A grand old hotel fairly well located, very near the railway station. Stepping into this timepiece was wonderful. We had a suite and all parts of it were appropriate to a 1930's style but renovated for today. The ambience of the entire hotel was superb. Original cabinetry, crystal chandeliers, wonderful staircases added to its character. A huge thank you to...

This old hotel is in a fine building and has many impressive fitments and high quality traditional decor. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet offers good variety of food and of a good standard. The location, being opposite the State Opera house and very few minutes walk to old town square is great. Achilles heel is service, which is...

The hotel is furnished and decorated to a high standard. Staff were very helpful and there was plenty of choice on the self service breakfast. Our room was well furnished at the back of the hotel but only had a small window making the room very dark even on a sunny day. We had a great time in Prague and...

Only had one night in Prague to see family. We booked the Hotel based on reviews and searching for 4+ star hotels. Hmmmm. From the outside it is lovely. The lobby is nice and promising. The porter greeted us right away with a smile. Check in was friendly.....enough. Got into the elevator and it was showing it's age. Not a...

This may be a five star hotel for Prague but not by my standards. Very nice hotel, cool restaurant, and accommodating staff. We were upgraded upon arrival which was awesome. Would definitely stay here again and the price was right. Breakfast every morning was included and very good. It was nice to sit on the patio and enjoy wine as...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
